Double edged sword pero if he ends up in any SMC team, baka makita natin sya in a Gilas uniform.

RJ is the closest we have to a Jayson Castro.

[Rumor] If Kevin Quiambao gives up staying at the university, he will be close to signing with the Sono Skygunners of the KBL.

If RJ is that good then why did his former KBL team not re-sign him? Or why no KBL team was interested to get his services? Then after a season in the B-league, why is his current B-league team not interested to give him a new contract?

I know RJ Avarrientos has the skills. He showed that with Giilas in 2021 & his initial stint in the KBL (if I'm not mistaken he won the rookie of the year award in the KBL). Maybe its his attitude that is the problem. Maybe he is not coachable.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Probably the contract. He won Rookie of the Year, then the KBL put a cap on Asian import contracts.

                  • RJ in the PBA (just like his playing style) is a long shot. He had some wild tirades @Chot and the SBP before. He will rather go MPBL.

the current coach is the japanese version of coach bruton..

its more of contract issues in KBL.. not his fault..

while in shinshu is more of coach prioritize the older PG who is not good than rjay.. i reckon rjay signed for multi year contract with shinshu..

From my understanding it was because he was offered more money?

It was the KBL that got stingy, I think.
