Parks is one of those scenarios where, if it happened to me, you bet Ill most likely do what he did

And to those calling Parks "Barbie Ray", he is tougher than them. He lost his loved ones and his girlfriend left him but still standing.

The problem in Korea is they're undersize players,so he will end up playing sub for the import or full time 4 next to him,he will dominate, but I wish he would continue playing the combo 4/3 to elevate his skills more.

The thing with KBLis that while each team has 2 world imports, only one import can be fielded at a time. Hence, there's a good chance that someone like a Tamayo or a Justine Baltazar can get sufficient playing time. It is different in Japan's B-league in which each team is allowed 3 world imports (not counting naturalized players) and 2 imports can on the court at the same time. And of course since most world imports in the B-league are big men, it is difficult for the likes of Baltazar & Tamayo to earn sufficient playing time there. The same could not be said about Kai & AJ Edu because these two bigs are special.

This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

                      • Guys, why are pinoy players Abando, Gutang, Belangel, & Migs Oczon doing well in the KBL while Dave Ildefoso is struggling there?

Is it a case of Ildefonso jumping into the KBL too soon? I mean, I think Dave played in the KBL when he was 21. On the other hand guys like Abando, Belangel, Oczon played there when they are 23 or 24. Gutang even played in the KBL when he is 25 or 26 already.

I'm thinking maybe Dave should have started playing in Korea 1 or 2 years later than he did. He should have polished his basketball skills well first before turning pro in a foreign league.

Dave was 22, but he had already exhausted his college eligibility. It was go pro in the KBL, the B.League, or the PBA at that point.

Maybe just a case of coach not yet fully trusting him. Or there's just a lot of guys over him in the depth chart. He's only averaging 15-16 mins a game in his 2nd year alreadt. While only a rookie, oczon has been given 23 mins a game and the license to shoot by his coach. Not all guys are lucky enough to find coaches that can maximize their skillset. For every oczon, there's a jgdl or avan nava.

I think Dave more than anybody had to adjust a lot by moving down from SF to a guard. Abando plays as an undersized SF but his length and leaping ability allows him to do that. Dave is too short to play SF in KBL but doesnt have Abando's length or leaping ability.I think adjusting from SF to SG is a big step offensively and defensively. Maybe Dave has not been impressive enough in practice.

KT is a very deep team. They added another SG/SF #1pick KBL Draft this year. Also, they signed Home SF Defender Moon from Anyang this year. Ildefonso's skillset of shooting and defense can already be filled by those players...
