D1 has very strict rules about when coaches can meet/communicate with recruits. It's a very limited period.
D2 and lower doesn't have.
I have a feeling, he will be trying out for something like a manager/sponsor, club team or prep team. There could be interest from a college team, but they don't really have to see him now. They'd rather watch him play in a US tournament which the top ones will occur again next summer. Unless he joins a US high school/prep school (but only the top programs will get coaches eyeballs).
I like Manalili's game, he was the one that kept hitting the big shots against LSGH in their finals, yes he can play pg. He kept making layups against the twin towers.

Letran had similar-sized players all had shaved heads and almost positionless so it can be confusing. He was the one making lay-ups over LSGH twin towers in the finals (seemed like the go-to-guy more than Gemao at that moment).
