Robert Bolick braces for Taiwan stint

With his contract with NorthPort in the Philippine Basketball Association about to expire, Robert Bolick is set to accept a short tour of duty in the T1 League in Taiwan.

Multiple sources confirmed to Daily Tribune that the star playmaker had already started packing his bags for a short assignment in the professional league in Taiwan.

Yeah. I think Dwight will be in good playing form by the 6th window. With Justine Brownlee as our naturalized player in the 6th window, I expect Dwight's playing would dip. Brownlee is going to get at least 27 mins of burn every game playing mostly at the 3 spot which is Dwight's spot in Gilas.

Dray is now 36yrs old. last time we saw is during the brawl roughly 5 years ago. when he was 30-31 yrs old. right on cue, we got JC for show and not to build a better team for the future. after this year and maybe Olympic qualifier, thats it for him with Gilas.

Try to get RHJ and then talk to USAB about Hepa and Green. they do not need those kids and the kids play for Gilas, it will not threaten them for the podiun. thats 3 players and Ange as NP pool as minimum. you got NBA level players plus 2 who can augment the front line if the NBA players are not available. surround these with our kababayans in Taiwan, SK, and Japan leagues plus promising college players and we have a good pool towards 2027. some of these players will end up in the PBA, so that league will have representation. if they want a PBA coach, just make the switch atleast 2 years before WC and we should be fine.

forgot to respond to the 2nd part of your first post regarding the matter, Yep I expect him to be part of Gilas until the next FIBA World Cup/ until 2030. SBP gonna ride his NBA player status until he retires. I think he'll be servicable until age 37 provided that he doesn't suffer any major injury during the decade. But yeah, we need a young pool of naturalized players oike RHJ, Hepa and Green, though it would be great if we get them FIBA exemptions (highly uinlikely)

I say Dwight will either slide to a 2 for defense or come off the bench to replace JB. We need shooters so I won’t be surprised if Heading starts as a 2. Not sure if Chot/TC will want to go with BRP more as a 2.
