  • If Taiwan could afford Dwight Howard as an import their pro league, maybe they could afford him as their NP? Last time DH played for Team USA was like 14 years ago, maybe he could get a clearance from FIBA.

I think that is not possible bro becoz there's this policy by FIBA in which a player is allowed to play for only 1 national team for life. The only exception is if for instance a player has played for another country in "youth" level FIBA tournament, he has to secure a clearance from that country's basketball federation before he can represent another country in the "senior" level FIBA competition. That was the case of Christian Standhardinger.

In Dwight Howard's case, he suited up for Team USA in the "senior" level FIBA tournament, so he could no longer represent another country.

      • Taiwan pro leagues popularity is all time high but their nt program is much like the final years situation in bap.. na korea nga sila ng jordan last asia cup and cant seem to have a permanent team due to abundance of talent (at guards but not on their big men)

To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
        1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Man, what should he do to get PT? We know that the 6'3" PF in front of him is a better interior defender.

After this season, Balti needs to work on his game or find a better situation, preferably one that will help him be available for the NT as well if Malonzo and Carl aren't available.
Not that bad really. He got the assist. He needs to work on his post defense. He was able to stop a 6'9ish world import at point blank range but couldnt get the rebound and gave up a 3 pt play. They should correct his official height of 6'10 though. It is ridiculous when the commentators say it.

Maybe their Professional leagues are not inclined w/ CTBA regarding on national team issues... Same as PBA-SBP relationship, But Taiwan pro leagues doesn't need FIBA success to aware the fandom of their league, Unlike the PBA...The last news on Taiwan national team is that Coach Parker resigned as HC of their national team...

Yeah, agree. It seems Abando's ball handling is improving. We already know he can shoot & he's very athletic. If he develops decent handles, then that would make him a solid offensive weapon as a shooter who can slash & finish the fast break as well.

                • With Bol Bol's emergence and the fact that he is trending, is Bol Bol the new comparison flavor of the month?

                  Kai > Bol Bol? LOL

I'm not surprised of Bolbol's emergence because I know he's a good player from the very beginning of his young career

He only needed trust and playing time from his coach

same as Kai Sotto with Adelaide lol

Let's all hope that small ball(GSW, Rockets and Heat) dies, forgotten and buried 6 ft below ground haha

and support the tall line ups(Cavs,Jazz,Magic,Timberwolve,Bucks,Pacers etc) in the NBA as this will

be more easier for Kai and wasser to sell Kai Sotto in the NBA next season.

Also, this would also affect the trend in the basketball world including coach CJ in the NBL who always prefers

small ball in the 4th quarter and crunch time haha which obviously is not working fro them

Tell that to the number crunching coaches in the NBL thread.

Anyway remember when CJ said this? "Kai is great, but we need to win." Well they're still not winning and Kai didn't play last game.

Watched the post game press conference and CJ had his Chot "Learning Experience" moment. He said "They did a pretty good job", lol. I'm not gonna be too harsh on him because I know they're missing an import, but they won the game vs the Breakers so I don't see how that excuse will work here.

GSW small ball's life is ending because Klay isn't who he used to be anymore and Draymond is clearly seeing the end of his star career. Maybe the punch changed the whole dynamic of the team, who knows.
