we can be happy with that fact for now, perhaps it may be good to stop comparing him to legit nba players
Kai is definitely better than Kobe P. and Japeth at that age, but i don't think he is better than Parks SKILL wise. Kai is still better overall due to his height tho.

parks didn't blossom further until he was 22-24. at age 20 he was averaging huge numbers against weak competition but unable to to carry his team, often missing the final 4. he stagnated while he was in the uaap

skills wise yeah guys like brp jr & terrence romeo were ahead at age 20

The older Paras was the only other 20 year old that dominated. and at the age of 21 he became PBA MVP and ROY.

yeah, meanwhile the pba rookies these days are 25 and above. pba/uaap/ncaa stunting players' growth

so sad. Kerby Raymundo and Terrence Romeo were the last 21 y.o rookies that had balls to decide to play with the big boys.

            • Kai had a good game. Forget the numbers and the zero minutes in the 4th quarter. The long minutes he logged is a huge thing. I hope that is a sign that they will give him more minutes from now on.

Remains to be seen if this was the effect of Randall’s departure or coach CJ playing the matchups. Either way, I hope his minutes increase as the season progresses.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

Effect of Randall not being there. CJ only bothered using 7 guys this game. I don't think this is permanent.

                  • Kai?s two hook shots were money.
He needs to box out/ or position himself to get those rebound.(he?s having difficulty to box out)
He also needs to be more energetic, there?s one possession that he?s just waiting for the ball to get a lob.
It?s hard for young kid but he?ll need to get more active in some aspects of the game like hustle, etc.
It would be patience and he?ll get those minutes.

and its something to see our frontcourt, Kai towering over Japeth and Japeth coming to his own (less deer in the headlights moments)

                      • Kareem Abdul Jacul este Jabbar has stationary and often has a back to the basket position before he shoots the Skyhook

which is at his time were pretty much unstoppable that is why he's the NBA all time scoring leader because of that.

Kai Sotto's penetrating before shooting a running/sweeping right Skyhook is GODLIKE for me haha. That's a 2.0 version of Kareem's Skyhook.

I don't think anyone can stop Kai's shot without fouling him haha.

                        Wemby's running/floater shooting 3 point is LEGENDARY. That's a 2.0 version of Tracy Mcgrady's shot haha.

That's unguardable baby. Defenders were even taking away his space but still make those running/floater from 3 point area lol

These two young bball players are gonna slay opponents with those moves.

Honestly nanlaki mga mata ko when I saw Kai doing those running/moving Skyhook from a penetrating position..

I see greatness brewing in Kai right now haha

Hopefully he gets more 4th qtr and crunch time minutes..

Kai doing a second time shows that the first one is not a fluke

And such shot by Kai would be very very difficult to block. Even a prime Dikembe Motumbo won't be able to block that shot.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV
