Rissetto - DP Pheonix - 21 yrs old
Britt - former DP Peth , now out of league
Brown - DP , Tasmania 19 yrs old
    Rusbatch - out of NBL
    Rodger - none NBL
Hunt out of the Nbl ( i coached a college team and beat his team)
Miner = less than 5 min for Pheonix
    ngatai- out of the NBL
    harris - 10 min avg 36ers
    dan fotu= DP breakers
    Taki - out of NBL
    this is the A team
ili - NBL 6th man award
Tai ( NBL MVP candidate - Euro turkey league current
Cameron - starter Div 1 , best Nz guard Asia cup
Le Afa - starter NZ breakers (2nd place NBL)
Corey Webster ( 2nd leading scorer in 2019 World cup, Euro league , avg 30 pts a game in CBA)
Abercombrie - NBL defensive player of the year , Euro league
    Ti Rangi- NBL starter
Delaney - 2nd team all NBL , Euro league
Isaac fotu - Euro league , MVP finals B -league (open import B- league)
Ben Gold - Marguette freshman - 11 pts debut
    Adams - NBA starter
Wetzell - Euro league div 1, All NBL 2nd team candidate

safe to say totally differnet team , it's comparing Euro pros vs college age development players

BTW zero players above played for NZ in 1st window (feb) and Asia cup. (zero)

know it will be tough , but there actually is a chance that the NZL A team can out place Australia in the world cup ( that certainly is the goal) to qualify for the Olympics,. the expected level is quite different from having to qualify as an Asian team for Olympics

Why are you downplaying the tall blacks after losing their last two games haha

I saw NBL posted in their FB page who were the current NBL players playing for their countries and I saw great numbers in the current tall blacks actually

      were listed on that post.

For context also, I said NBL bench players are not so far out of reach in terms of skills/talent versus asian players.

Guys you just mentioned are majority bench players right? haha

Anyway it's not to disrespect the tall blacks, it's more of the other way around that I'm trying to point out.

If Oceana especially tall blacks will not put respect to Asian players/team, NZ team is gonna get the response they'll surely deserve haha.

      • For context, Gilas college kids lost to the same jordan team by lesser margin compared to the loss by pro benchwarmers

          • He actually only has 2 TOs based on this statsheet. But he also shot 16 times to get 13 points. Most misses came from behind the arc.

              You reamily ha. Hahaha

If that's the case, then, his ast-TO ratio is 4.0 which means that for every 4 assists, he will only commit 1 TO. That's good.

Tab is truly the difference maker. And the winning gap would've been larger if current Kai were on a Tab team vs the current Jordan NT. Because "low iq" or not, fact is that Kai did very well against a team that beat up NZL, regardless of the excuses the covert Aussies, oh I'm sorry the "logicals" give in this thread.

Not a fan of the NFL but sometimes I watch it just to see the fuss on why Tom Brady is considered the GOAT by many

Yeah. Ex- Green Bay coach and now Dallas coach McCarthy should have opted for a field goal to get an early 3-point lead in overtime. But he chose to go for it on 4th down and failed. The previous game Minnesota and Buffalo was a better game and could be the game of the year.

Just to be on topic, Kai had a stellar 5 blocks and 9 rebounds versus the Saudis. These are the departments that Sotto has to elevate in the NBL.

True we already know that Kai is a good blocker in terms of using his jumping ability and length, especially against Asian competition, but at the end of the day, Kai still has the same weakness that he still needs to address as highlighted by Chot on the recent match with Jordan:

The positive side is he is willing to learn and provide the effort - plus he continues to display good form in his 3s which hopefully might indicate a better 3-point percentage in the NBL considering how much space the defenders are giving to him

If Kai can't even complete against his single draft class, what makes you think he has a chance competing against the entire NBA free agent market lol.

Also when Daniel Johnson retires, look for Adelaide to bring a quality import replacement for that position. There is no guarantee Kai will ever get the starting job due to retirement lol.

I wish Kai could play Saudi Arabia quality competition every night.

Serious question would PBA teams beat this Saudi team?
Deck, Campazzo, Landale, Fontecchio et al managed to crack the NBA competing against fresher NBA talents and the whole free agent market. Just because we don?t believe in Kai?s game means we can laugh at others? optimism.

Btw, mods should notify tech dept to fix the bugs, like the apostrophe being read as question mark by the site.

                        • Kai shouldnt stay long in the nbl. There are too many pesky fans who will just bother him everyday. He will never get enough playing time to develop his skills and confidence. The nbl, whether pinoys like it or not, should develop aussie players.

All these insane nba comparison sh*tstuff are not worth even a serious opinion. Even longer minutes against low ranking fiba teams are building him up well. He needs exposure to much tougher and more competitive players.

Other than in top-flight euro ball, kai would be better off applying to be in a russian baller team for four years. No one knows him there, so he can be himself. Russian ball, and slavic ball in general, is good too. Russians would be curious too about pinoy ballers, and might entertain more pinoy imports and trainees. All the young local 6'7 and taller players here can even gain basketball scholarships to train for one to two years in russia -- a wealthy and top athletics-loving nation. Two to three months russian training for u16 and u18 teams will definitely boost pinoy fiba toughness. Russian brutal winters will help.

Our nt teams might be looking at the wrong countries for building their capabilities. I actually would like to see my school team -- the up maroons -- be immersed regularly for months in pocket tournaments against russian teams. (My wife will be on aussie vacation. So i can have a signed photo of him too.)

                          • Can I ask what Zhou stats are like in the CBA ? The reason I ask is I think it's reasonable in 2 or 3 years for Kai to approximate those stats if he played in the CBA and off course he would be paid very well.
And for sure he can be Marketted well in the huge Chinese. Market with a sid connection to the Philippines

It's just extremely unlikely, in the same way it was extremely unlikely for an NBA team to draft Kai when his name wasn't in consensus top 100 mock drafts and he was strangely not invited to the NBA Draft combine or even the G-League Elite camp.

Those players you mentioned all did the hard yards in the Euroleague and were very impressive in multiple years of major international competition.

I'm not talking FIBA Asia qualifiers with Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia as your opponents.

I'm talking high pressure elimination games at the FIBA world cup and Olympics winning medals for your country.

Sadly I just don't see Kai leading Gilas to any success at major competitions.

I also don't think Kai is currently good enough to be an import in any of the top European clubs, when he can't even crack the starting 5 of an NBL team.
Can’t crack NBL starting 5 at 20. Let us put that into context. Realize Fontecchio is 26, Campazzo i think was 27 when he got into the NBA. There’s a ton of time for Kai to realize his dream.

NBL is a good league in itself and it has the NBA’s attention esp of late. Should he continue to ply his trade there, Kai’s intl performances aren’t exactly his selling point but mere add ons.

Thank God you aren't his agent or handler hahaha.

Than I would have to say God bless sweet baby Kai's soul.
Completely ignorant on russia . Good. So what has siberia anything to do with baller competition for kai?. You disrespect the opinions in this forum where you dont even belong, only to show bottomfeeder arrogance and ignorance. Are you even an elementary school graduate? The quality of your opinions says no, not at all.

You have excellent dumbf*ck opinions, i concede. I hope you will handle the aussie nt for good.
