As long as he is not taunting his opponent, its alright. Only in the Philippines that being cocky (inside the court) is frowned upon, . Im sure the Koreans are used to gamesmanships especially with players like Peace Choi ("too short" celly ), and Ra Gu Na ("He cant guard me" ) in the league.

I don't remember anybody saying this in IBN. Maybe in some other places but not here.
It was here. i read those comments..

      • Coach CJ is as graceful as you can get while explaining why Kai is a benchwarmer. I wish his other detractors were as graceful as him. We are all cheering for the best for Kai right?

Yep. I remember those comments belittling NBL1. It came about in one of Adelaide?s game last season where TV analyst and Australian legend Andrew Gaze made a commentary that it would be good for Kai?s development if he plays in the NBL1 during the off-season.

Well, majority of them went silent after 30 NBA teams passed up on Sotto in the NBA Draft.

Reading the CJ Brutton interview and said that many expected Sotto to start on his second season. As he explained how can he evaluate Sotto when he didn?t see him for 5 months in the off-season.

Indeed it was a wasted summer for Kai in terms of improving himself by skipping the FIBA Asia Cup and playing in the NBL1.

And I am also worried about 1GDL in Lithuania. The Pinoys are now starting to pester the BC Wolves' page.

Yeah. That's most likely the case. I can't imagine how he can support his family if he's paying for everything if he's getting paid the minimum.

those lin only fans (LOF) were toxic AF, though Im a fan of lin, those LOFs still cant get over the linsanity phenomenon. His handles were exposed in Houston when he was given the starting pg role and was eventually surpassed by beverly and eventually traded since you cant have him as a focal pt of offense/main ball handler when you have prime james harden on your team.

But peenoise takes the toxic fandom on a different level

30 teams passed on him TWICE. And his people didn't even get him an invite to play in the summer league or any type of contract. His handlers just running Kai's career to the ground.. should have been playing competitive games instead of pick up games with randoms. At least they got rid of one problem (Bell).

Talking about gamesmanship in Korean pro sports, take a look at their bat flips in their top baseball league. Probably the most flamboyant you'll ever see in all of baseball.

He's yet to play a regular season game of NBA, but Aussie Dyson Daniels has already faced some of the league's best offensive players in preseason. He tells Olgun Uluc it'll hold him in good stead for his rookie campaign.

Josh Giddey and Dante Exum are other who played in NBL to get reps before getting drafted into the NBA.

Aussie NBA prospect Tyrese Proctor of Duke spent the last 2 years playing in the NBL1. He is projected to be a first round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The thing is, Kai needed more reps after playing such a minimal amount in the last few years.

There is no doubt he could of done the same strength and conditioning drills during the NBL1 season.
So basically you are saying NBL1 is such a good league for Kai to be playing in the last six months while preparing for the NBA draft haha.

Okay given it is a good confidence booster kind of league for Kai and for CJ's trust and whatnot, then how come

Nick Marshall is still a DNP for CJ's rotation? Nick was amazing and had good stats when he played NBL1 for the past six months haha

Let us not make excuses here and also don't fall into CJ's pambobola. He always speaks good on Kai everytime he is interviewed but do the opposite thing

during gametime. The truth is, CJ's system is small ball that's it. Kai is not small so he doesn't fit to CJ's new found basketball system.

DJ is exempted because he is DJ which means he is an all time scoring leader, MVP, all star etc. plus he is basically the face of 36ers for so many years now.

CJ will not bench him for that reason alone. While Kai is expendable for CJ. They already milked Kai's fans and supporters so basically it is Kai's last contract with them

and then they can just throw him away anytime.

Also for the record Daniels played GLeauge Ignite which catapulted him into the lottery pick. He had significant playing time in his lone season with the Ignite.

Josh Giddey was the main starter pg of adelaide which he played for 30 minutes per game. Again 30 minutes per game haha

Dieng and Besson you all know played for at least 20 to 30 minutes per game for NZ Breakers.

My point is, wherever Kai may be playing he should at least be playing with a significant minutes. If CJ is dead set with small ball system then it is no longer

best for Kai to stay in Adelaide. He should find another league or another team that will truly offers him that career break.

Most of his turnovers were forced turnovers (intercepted passes). Meaning, the opposing team's defense is targeting him until he gives up the ball by passing to his teammates. He is impacting his team, with or without scoring. I am wondering about his +/-. It should be in the positive since their lead usually widens with him on the floor.

Kai had sufficient playing time last season (15 mins a game). The problem wasn't the minutes, it was very obvious to scouts that Kai's game would not translate to the NBA level.

Terrance Ferguson played 15 mins a game in his lone season with the Adelaide 36ers. He put up mediocre stats as well, but was still drafted in the first round based on potential.

The fact is NBA scouts don't often miss on securing Legit talent.
So where is Ferguson now haha

I understand your point of NBL1 blah blah blah

But if I am Kai, I would have done the same over and over again. The best way to sell yourself is to present yourself directly.

He had no time for NBL1 while preparing for NBA draft which he cannot by the way avoided since he is automatic enlisted to it and cannot anymore withdraw.

The circumstances around that time made that choice of him the best. If in anyway Kai will be given that opportunity, yes I think he should also consider that option playing in NBL1 pampapawis kumbaga haha kesa naman sitting on the bench for 35 minutes in CJ's adelaide.
