While feasible, it will have a lot of difficulties if done this year given d current pandemic (hopefully better conditions next year).

For now, a 4-team tourney is more feasible in a bubble set-up.
The closest thing to this concept was the MVP Cups in 2007 and 2015.

2010 and 2015. But yeah, iirc plan was actually to hold the tournament annualy.

      • Anyway, the "Asian player quota" actually took effect in 2017 replacing the "Oceania player quota". This rule effectively dislodged Tai Wesley and Earnest Ross from their respective teams in NBL.

The aim of the Asian-quota is to enlist one player from:

        -Japan
        -South Korea
        -Taiwan
        -China
        -India
        -Philippines

In the hopes to attract these big Asian markets. Guam and the rest of Oceania, sans New Zealand, were excluded since they don't have a big population which means smaller basketball fanbase. NBL won't benefit from Oceania countries.

I think there was also a MVP Cup in 2007 wherein SMC-Team Pilipinas was fitted against Syria, China and Lebanon.

                  Arithmetic series/progression. I see.

                  2007 + 3 = 2010 + 5 =2015 + 7 = 2022 then next will be 2022+ 9 =2031

Lol. No way this will be coincidentically happen. (I will be surprise if it did)

Btw, thanks for the friend request accept. Lol

It would be beneficial for Kai to have very good big men teammates who have NBA experience, they can certainly teach Kai some tricks. Is there chance Kai can still see action this NBL season?

Giddey announced earlier that he'll apply for this years draft.

and projected lottery pick. No way Giddey will stay in the NBL.

                                Pinder is Australian.

                                Its 2 imports, 1 possible next star(any country), 1 possible Asian player(counts as local) and 7-8 locals(Aus or nz players). + 1-4 development players u24 I believe.

2022 season may go back to 3 imports which means 1 less local spot.

The Tasmanian jackjumpers come in next season so another 12+ spots are up for grabs.
