Not really. I don't think those guys went undrafted. In fact most of the guys that I remember Kai was supposedly outskilled are drafted in the top 5. Heck he was supposedly a better player than the Chets, Bancheros, Mobleys, Wisemans, Porzingis, etc ie recent bigmen drafted in lottery. Now Wemby is getting the same treatment.

This! I was quite optimistic before when Kai was still 16-18 yrs old that he will be drafted in the NBA when he is eligible. But as of the moment, he would be a liability to a team in the NBA and that is the truth. Unless he improves his body and skillset, I cannot see him in an NBA uniform. If he would transfer in Europe, he still wouldn't get minutes. I think CJ has seen enough in practices, he is playing the guys that would give him the best chance of winning. We cant blame him because his job is on the line too, he needs to win. His job is not to follow Pinoy fans wishes.

if Kai trained/transferred to europe around that age (or even younger) he would have been a nba level talent. mind you nba scouts monitor kids as early as 14-15 yrs old.

But if you see based on how he shoot the ball, smooth fluid blah blah that becomes an opinion.

Some as early as 12. There are even occassional scouts here in the Philippines. Sadly, they haven't seen a talent they are looking for yet. Hopefully Kai's development would make him NBA ready when he reached his peak. As of right now, he is just too raw.
