could prolly tell who among the green archers were like that from that infamous locker room video they posted before last season's semifinals. also not just DLSU, i know UP recruited players who didn't pass the UPCAT and enroll them in courses like BA Malikhaing Pagsulat.

      • The so-called Wembanyama stopper has only played 3 minutes (all in the 1st quarter) with only 1 block tallied under his name. lol

The downsizing of Adelaide’s opponents particularly in the first game (Tasmania) and tonight against Sydney has made it difficult for Kai to play against shorter big men who can shoot and blow by him. Right now he looks like a liability on defense. And the main reason why his decrease in minutes from last season.

        • i was kind of expecting kai will play less minutes.. as we all know, kai is having problems with xavier cooks type bigs who is hyper active..

            Good game!

Randall and DJ bailed them out of this one.
Some questionable 3 point attempts from Franks at the end stretch.
McCarron providing the stability with his veteran wits.

Seems like Harris taking up the role off the bench that Kai had last season.
            Off the bench preference :
            1. Dech (17 mins)
            2. Harris (13 mins)
            3. Drmic (12 mins )
            4. Kai (3 mins)
            5. Galloway (0)
            6. Acouth (0)

With DJ and Franks practically taking up almost the entire minutes at the center and PF positions it would be very hard or impossible for Kai to get decent minutes much more the goal to get the starting spot at the middle (unless forbid injuries on the two)

All Kai can do at this point is to make good of every second he is on the floor starting on the defensive side: Crash every board, contest every shot and go aggressive on offense.

After his maiden season where he was able to make do out of pick and rolls and lob passes, which every team in the NBL is now aware of, he must diversify to be relevant.

He is too light to be in the middle and too slow to play the perimeter.

He needs to put on some weight the be a more effective defensive stopper at the middle and a post threat OR vastly improve his shooting touch if he plans to play in the perimeter.

He should make himself a valuable rotational player to earn more minutes or else he will ride the bench all season long.

At his current rate it seems he's moving behind farther away to be competitive for the NBL level much more NBA level.

Reality bites. Something a lot of Filipino fans can't seem to accept. I guess a product of american colonialism na din na porke't style of play natin parang sa kano eh kala nila ganun kalapit yung gap ng level of play.

                • Just a comparison para sa mga crabby.haha May link para CLEAR.haha It is obvious based on the DATA that players would need to transfer to a team that would trust and used them.hahaha

Marc Gasol stat at age 19 to 21
                  https://www.basketball-reference.com...c-gasol-1.html

                  19yr old 6.8min 1.5reb 1.2pts Winterthur FC Barcelona
                  20yr old 16.7min 4reb 5pts Winterthur FC Barcelona
21yr old 7.4 min 1.3 reb 3.1pts Winterthur FC Barcelona
At age 22 he transferred to another team and that is where he started to get good numbers.haha Team fit will always be a factor for every player.

                  Victor Webanyama stat last yr
                  https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net...anyama/009553/

                  EuroLeague 17:29min 6.5pts 3.8reb 1.3TO
                  EuroCup 6:01min 0.8pts 1.5reb

                  Kai Sotto https://nbl.com.au/player/3682/1668069/kai-sotto
                  19yr old 15.26min 7.52pts 4.48rebs

Clearly kai is producing more than both wemby and Gasol at almost the same age if given ample playing time!haha Facts are facts. When Victor wasn't producing great numbers with Tony Parker's team, his handlers transferred Wemby to his current team. I am expecting that Wass will transfer Kai to a team where he will showcase himself.haha

Ano na negatrons?haha Im giving up this NBL season and Kai should just preserve himself. Hopefully, he will play with Gilas this coming windows.haha

The game has changed daw!haha The NBA is currently loading up with bigs. It is either you will go small ball or tall ball. Stick with non bball takes Cocoy!haha

Ano kaya mga rebuttal ng mga negatrons!haha Brainstorm muna kayu tsaka obvious marami ding games na sobrang limited laro ni Wemby at Gasol sa prior teams nila.hahaha

Ahhh music to my ears haha

Love this. Someone who made the research and affirm my belief.

How CJ look at Kai Sotto (HARRIS > KAI) LOL

There is no future for Kai in coach CJ. Still better for Kai to finish his contract this season to show his professionalism.

Also Kai is the breadwinner of his family who are also now living in Australia. So he can't really do much right now in his career moves.

What he can request is to allow him to play for FIBA november window. I believe Mitch and Harris will also be allowed to play for boomers and tall blacks respectively

this upcoming window. No reason for CJ not to allow Kai unless if CJ is really an A-HOLE who would hold Kai back. Imagine allowing his starter and regular rotation players

to playin FIBA but not his DNP player Kai Sotto. That really is something else.

But all you do is lame arguments with no substance haha

                      Do better mate.

Also I'm no racist. I only stated what is true and based on my observation. Fact only sorry if it hurts some half Filipinos here

who knows nothing about being true Filipino haha.

                      • If Kai had stayed in GLeague Ignite team he would have ended up

with the same treatment with coach Brian Shaw a DNP player lol.

That is why I have trust issue with black and bald coaches who speaks a lot of good things about a player during presscon or interview

but different outcome during gametime haha.

Chot Reyes > Coach CJ for Kai's career right now.

More opportunity for Kai to play in FIBA senior team the better for his career.

                        • so from Kai being more skilled than legends like duncan and yao to the next gen marc gasol?

peenoise really have no idea about the level of competition of each league and thinks that everything is on equal standing. Again Marc at a young age played aau and high school ball in the US and spent his teen years training in europe while Kai spent his teen years in ateneo. Gasol is galaxies away in terms of development when he was the same age as kai.

The problem with this argument is you can't prove this theory haha

It's like the whole argument of who is the goat MJ, Kareem, Lebron, Kobe etc lol

Unless they all played against each other things will not be proven. So all are just theory and belief.

I for one would consider Dirk as my goat because I am biased haha.

Current NBL isnt lacking of competitiveness. They may lack budget but their quality is equal to the euroleague. Nbl teams went toe to toe with NBA teams and was not overwhelm. Add-on lang na ang Sokor at Leb NT were lesser than NBL teams, Sokor beat NZ NT on their homecourt while Leb was just beaten by NBL all stars by a very slim margin.haha

Regarding Marc Gasol, he was too ordinary in highschool while 17yr old Kai was so dominant with TSF. Marc had great stats in his senior yr just because of sheer size but isnt viewed as a good college prospect. Kai was also a standout in world youth tournaments. Itong mga negatrons puro lang mali mali sinasabi napapahiya tuloy.haha ill post an article nabasa ko yan dati.haha

In the past this was true, now Im not sure. The NBL is now a consistent source of NBA talent.
