As for Kai, correct me if I'm wrong but only 2 years of his 3 year deal with Adelaide is guaranteed right? (calling Analyzed), so this is really a make or break year for Kai because a poor performance may lead to the 36ers not picking up the remaining year of his contract.
Playing time is a must for someone to develop his game especially for Kai Sotto at just 20 yrs old he must have all the necessary options
that will maximize his fast development and reach his potential.

These would be our frontline for a long while.
Add Dwight Ramos, Malonzo and Oftana as wings and we have the core for the next 10 years.

That team is built around him while in his euroleague team he was a DNP player haha.
Did he earn that? Yes, because he went to a team who believes in him.
Why stay with coach CJ if you can play somewhere else.
Kai only needs trust of his coach no matter what.Last edited by coach cj; 10-21-2022, 01:22 AM.

Any team in the NBL would of killed to get Wembanyama to sign with them, and I can guarantee he would of got starter minutes on any NBL team.
CJ gave Kai decent minutes last season when they were out of playoff contention and after season ending injuries to Humphries and Bairstow. Lets not forget Kai would of been getting a lot of DNPs last season if it weren't for injuries. Adelaide is under no obligation to gift Kai minutes for development.
If Kai signed in any high level league he would struggle to get minutes as he is just not a high level player right now. If it's his goal to get a lot of minutes and be the focal point he should join the PBA or just be happy being part of Gilas. The days of mickey mouse TSF stat padding are over, he is playing in a high level pro league right now.
My point is, all are just theory until that guy finally succeeds.
Another thing, so what if Kai will copy what Wemby does be it in training or career moves.
As long as Kai will feel he will improve his career and playing time and he is happy go to that place or team.
No one should question Kai for making that move. It is just so toxic hearing you say stop comparing haha. What da so funny these anti Kai on this thread haha.

Adelaide have a totally different roster construction and game style to last season. Kai must learn to play a role within the team concept that contributes to winning, he will never have plays called out for him and his minutes will be sparse. But he has to be ready to take the opportunity and play his role.
What is wrong with you all anti Kai Sotto haha.
Don't want to hear opposing views on this thread? Then go somewhere else where you all are the focal point of the argument haha.
People are not built to bow down to your point of views haha. Go somewhere else where you can be happy like Wemby lol.

Its foolish to compare Wembanyama to Sotto. Wembanyama was already scouted as early as 16 years old who could be a future number 1 pick in the NBA Draft. Here?s a review by ESPN?s scout and draft analyst Mike Schmitz in 2020.
2020:
2021:
Wembanyama, a 17-year-old eligible for the 2023 NBA draft, is among the long-term international prospects who most fascinate evaluators.
As for Sotto, no renowned nba scout and nba draft analyst had ever predicted Kai would be drafted in NBA because of many deficiencies both physically and skills wise. In other words, they were not impressed with Kai that he never made it to any Top 60 prospects NBA Mock Drafts. While Wembanyama has always been at the top of any scouts? list to be drafted number one overall.
Can somebody find an article on Kai as a teenager and named him as a future number 1 pick? Lol. I get it its free to aspire for something that is very difficult to achieve. But to constantly blabber that Kai is at level or better on certain players are obnoxious, foolish and nonsense. Let?s be realistic.

No one said these words blah blah haha.
No one said Kai would be number 1.
And for context, what do you all mean by the word "comparing"? haha.
When all I just said is, Kai can replicate what Wemby is doing training wise and career moves thats it.
I feel so lost now. These anti Kai are all so funny lol.

It is just BBQ chicken every time he is put in pick and roll situations lol.
Like all your arguments here is not all good for Kai.
If I am Kai Sotto who is trying everyday to make my game improve and to represent my countrymen in the international arena
and I get a chance of reading all your blah blah blahs haha. Unlike if I hear comments with lots of of encouragement I would feel great at mas gaganahan ako.
Whatever you all are saying, I understand and I am sure Kai knows all these.
But what he really needs right now is "TRUST" from his coach and from us because he is trying his best already.
It is easier to grind when someone positively believes in you than when all you hear everyday is criticism. Hindi naman malaki ulo ni Kai.
Kai is a humble guy and is working his ass off everyday for you all in this thread.

I like coach chot for now because he at least have word of honor when he spoke about
wasser sports and him agreeing for Kai to be the focal point of defense and offense of Gilas. Snappy salute to Chot.
While CJ, he is like that guy who courts you and will give you the moon and the stars just to have your yes haha.
So, in conclusion CJ is not good for Kai's career as of the moment.
