Well Dwight has been practicing with Tab for a while now so he probably is familiar with the nuances of his system. I think he's more of a product of a good system than a very good individual player. I mean he's good but Tab's system made him look better. It gave him better looks and catered to his strengths. Also he's playing more games now against pro players so of course his game will really be exposed unlike before we don't even know how good he is before his debut against Korea.

To be fair to Dwight, he's fourth in scoring for Toyama, and he rebounds well too. But yeah, this isn't the performance we saw in the 3rd window. He's shooting a low percentage, both from the field (41.9%) and from the 3-point line (26.3%).

Hope we see an improvement in his shooting efficiency like Thirdy has (from 35.8% to 40.2%). Good thing Dwight is two years younger than Thirdy, and thus more room for improvement.

This is why I said Ray Parks is a better individual player than Dwight Ramos.

A lot of Ibners mocked me here.

Because that time, Dwight had a spectacular performance in Fiba 3rd window.

But if you will be objective. Pound for Pound and Skills Vs Skills. Rayray is better.

No offense to Dwight, I am including him in my wish list for 2023.

But as theweirdguy said he is more of a system player.

Good thing is Coach Tab's system will be likely to used in 2023. So still great for Dwight.

Ray Parks Jr. was a four-star with ESPN graded him 92 and ranked as the No. 117 prospect in his class(2011) while Dwight Ramos was a 2-star prospect and ESPN graded him a score of 64 in his class(2016)..

I've been keeping an eye out for Arana. I hope he can go Gilas before going to the PBA. He could be developed into a versatile forward, like what Baltazar and Tamayo have become.

He might turn out to be a poor man's Baltazar, hopefully, or maybe better.

              • The Gilas team shouldve played the pocket Filbasket, heck should participated in MPBL invitational... Politics come along the way..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Having both Parks and Dwight will be big for Gilas campaign. Both 6'4, team player, can play without the ball, can play 1, 2 and 3 positions, and can play defense. Do i need to say more? Having both of them in Gilas is big.

This. IMO the Japan vets of Kiefer, Thirdy, Dwight and Parks should be in the team. Those guys can contribute without needing to score and are perfect for Tab's system.

That's a solid 1,2,3 spot rotation, if we were to add a shooter to the 4 , who would that be ? Heading

Then at 4, 5 , (some playing combo forward minutes )

                          Carl, Baltazar, Kouame , Kai

We have arrived where most of our national team members play in overseas leagues, this is how it's supposed to be for all world class teams

I believe that 9 man rotation can win Gold in the 2022 Asia cup

Add Tuffin to this list. I will surely love his 3 and D presence in Gilas. 7 out of 12 players are pro players overseas.

                            • One of the main things with that core 9 rotation is not only are they the Philippines top players, but 8 of 9 with exception of Parks (played for Tab 2016 OQT), played with Tab's system for this current vesion of Gilas

To minimize disruption of chemistry and to provide continuity my 10th to 12 th men picks would be original core players , Go, Nieto and Navarro

All sports scribes is barking on pba like hell and barking on pba players going to Japan, but you never hear them say something about the Gilas cadets in freezer mode (or in just training mode" not all of them will benefit with no real games long term.. look at the King Abdullah cup.. di masustain yun momentum sa clark bubble because of lack of real games
