Kai
Edu
Carl
KQ
Junmar
Dwight
Brownlee
Scottie
Newsome
CJ
Malonzo
Oftana
Reserves:
Mason
Japeth
Ange/Boatwright
Troy
Not unless some of these players are retiring from Gilas, I don't think Cone is adding anymore to the reserves who would be a sure upgrade. Even Clarkson is not an upgrade over JB in the eyes of Cone. If Japeth defnitely retires then an eligible QMB would be preferred.

Exactly! There is no excuse for adding Rosario. He is still new to Ginebra so we can't say he has mastered the triangle. If Cone is consistent with his stance then it should have been Amos getting elevated. It should have been Baltazar, Heading, and an eligible QMB. I can begrudgingly forgive Japeth but not Troy.

A non-Gilas player plays well... IBN: lets get him for Gilas! lol
Cone is not replacing his 12 unless one retires. His reserves can be replaced but it will be debatable if that replacement is really better than Mason, Japeth, or even Troy playing under CTC's system. I bet if Mason was not there, someone would be calling out for him to be there. CTC will never please everyone. But winning makes everyone happy and that is what he is bringing to Gilas right now. We cannot questions his decisions because he is winning. He played in Latvia without a natural PG, for chrisakes.

He is playing decently in the PBA. Even if as a "temporary" replacement it makes more sense to pick him than Rosario. Why are we so sold on Cone's 12. Is he the almighty who doesn't make mistakes? He will never consider another player just because he already chose his permanent 12? IMO injuries are the best time to try out other players that have Fiba potential not to recycle a 32 year old who has shown he is not fit for Fiba.
I tell you what, let's complain if QMB is gonna be bypassed even if proven eligible. I don't think CTC will pass up that opportunity to grab a JF heir-apparent in Gilas. Balti? nah... he will have to prove himself in the PBA first

That sounded like a woke nonsense, what's his social or private status has to do with his sports market value? It's how much the rest of the team gets paid, when he gets his,so he will be in a team with 1 superstar and the rest are cheap bench players, good luck with that.

Alangan namang ang player na esa suggest mo for Gilas inclussion is someone who is averaging 5 pts. per game in his PBA team (unless maybe he plays defense as good as a Gabe Norwood or a Chris Newsome).
It's not coincidence that guys like Kai Sotto, Junmar Fajardo, CJ Perez, Calvin Oftana, KQ are current Gilas members - they are performing very well in their respective leagues - B-league, PBA, collegiate basketball.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV
