I watched some live stream of Gulf championships couple of weeks ago.. the level of competition there in Gulf is very balanced.. Saudi is the highest ranked team in FIBA from Gulf region but they were 4th place and were beaten by Kuwait.. Bahrain changed their naturalized player now, I didn't saw Wayne Chism there, while Qatar has numerous naturalized players in their pool.. Last Gulf tournament, they parade 2 naturalized players.. but still lose to Saudi in elims and Bahrain in the finals... Better that bring SEABA back, to increase the level of play in our region.. Kahit na wala ng Pilipinas dyan, other teams need another major FIBA tournaments to familiarize the rules and improve the level of play in SEA nations...
Bahrain beat Qatar in the finals. If I'm not mistaken, Kuwait beat Saudi in the battle for 3rd place. I think Kuwait is a competitive team. I don't know if they have a naturalized player but they looked a good team. Kuwait beat Qatar in last year's tournament in the Gulf region.
I think the level of competition in the Gulf region is still better/higher than the level of competition in SEA region. Only the Philippines & to a certain extent, Indonesia lang talaga yung decent teams."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

I say a Thailand team with Tyler Lamb, Morgan, Fred Lish, Jakrawan would struggle against teams like Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait & UAE."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. THA already paraded 6'8 Martin Breunig during the last SEAG in Cambodia wherein they've won the Bronze, he is a Tha-German and Bundesliga veteran
I think Thailand is seriously parading a solid team next year as a host by scouting different States and Europe in addition to Tyler Lamb, Moises Morgan, Fred Lish and Tra Holder
they had a big diaspora in Cali and some part of Canada like Vancouver among others.

If possible to get both, why not.

Also, Zee Hamoda, Bahrain's 22-year old 6-foot-7 forward who is playing in the US NCAA div. 1 school played in that tournament. I think Qatar played with 2 imports one of which is its naturalized player named Lewis & the other named Harris.

Chanatip, size-wise, is more of a PF and you can't rely on him to protect the rim.
Positions 1-3: they are okay if the opposition is only Gulf teams but against top Asian teams? Definitely not.

I think both are good defenders. But I think Winston is slightly better in offense, his mid-range pull-up jumper is his money move/shot.
But the good thing about Iskati is that nag e improve na rin yung 3-pt shot nya.
I hope in about 2 yrs time, Winston will be integrated to Gilas. Winston is around 4 yrs younger than Iskati so around 4 yrs from now, Iskati is expected to be on the twilight of his career so by that time Winston wud be in the peak of his career.
But honest, it wud be better if Winston gets integrated to Gilas now so that 3 to 4 yrs from now, maganda na experience nya in the FIBA game.
