He can alternate at the 4 & 3 spots. I'm envisioning Lopez to be sort of a Calvin Abueva type of player - energy & hustle guy who can also play good defense. I hope that after this UAAP season Lopez would get an offer from a B-league team where he can start his professional career. I think it's about time he climbs to the higher level game.
He can play the combo forward guard,it depends on the situation, but he would be the big guard that they can plug in certain plays or situation.

Heck, Cariaso, doesnt have a single winning season ever since he started coaching.

Also worth noting, is. Phil Jackson' coaching umbrella, has a very unimpressive record . His successors that ran the triangle: Jim Cleamons, Kurt Rambis, Derek Fisher, Brain Shaw, all tried it a all failed.
Good point. Hopefully, Chambers, Tenorio and more can develop into excellent coaches.

For the most part, it won't be a real problem for good coaches to learn the triangle, it's usually something that players take longer to learn. The tricky part is having someone replicate all the other things that Coach Cone (just like Jackson) brings to the table, the winning gene.

Either way, even if we utilize it for the duration of Cone's tenure, it really is an offensive system that raises player's BBIQ. It's especially advantageous to teach to young players.

That would be something. Even if he can do a consultant role, advisor or something to that capacity would be great.

Now that he's divorced and probably in his last contract and if rumors are correct,he has reason to stay in the country longer.

I thought Coach Spo is the next best logical candidate to takeover the coaching duties once Steve Kerr steps down as head coach from Team USA after this Olympics.

I cant believe the Triangle is making a comeback and is now again relevant.

Is Jolas part of Chot's coaching tree or Cone's tree? Anyway, I think Tenorio is Cone's No.1 prodigy. JDV also in the running, but now that Sean Chambers is back and seemed gearing up for a long haul, and maybe if he can transform FEU into a Triangle Machine, he can have a bigger role in Cone's scheme of things

              • Chot is speaking again in interview at One Ph.Not a good sign? Remember before coach tab was replace, he was analyzing the game plan of Coach Tab against South Korea, when we beat them in the bubble. He was always analyzing each plays of Coach Tab and national team, and them a few months Coach Tab was replace. Rumor he wants to be president of SBP, but that will not be good since he has a son who is a coach which he might give speciall preference to coach the national team in youth and senior level. Please Coach Chot you are already done from the national team and you already coaching TNT , so please leave the national team alone.

                • Chot is okay as SBP president. He gets things done and has gone relationship with the SMB block. He just needs to replace Josh and exclude himself from coaching and just focus on the politics side of philippine basketball

He’s next in line for the Team USA HC job.

He’s a good option for transition plays.

We need a Team B of ready reserves that fit FIBA play. Include people that can serve past 2028, of course.

                          • Work on Kouame, Phillips, QMB, Lucero, Holt, and Barefield exemptions. That should be priority for SBP. I am really angered that Ange is not being mentioned by SBP for exemption when he has the best chance and gives us lineup versatility especially when it comes to NP choices. Kouame plugs so many line up holes by his presence.

                            • Does CTC run HORNS?

Asking because it’s my favorite offensive set.

Coach Rajko’s HORNS plays were amazing. Gilas I didn’t have the best players but Rajko’s system was very good.
