The solution is really to have a Team B with one of his assistants coaching it. If we are to model our program the same as Iran's, well they have a team B as a feeder to their team A. I wonder why no one even bothered to ask CTC or SBP that. Let team B be u-22 with also a backup naturalized player.

If some of us can go to the open practice in ULTRA later, we should ask this.

Maybe the SBP have no budget for another team? You cant have continuity without a pool or a team B because players get injured or become unavailable or ineffective. You need continuous supply of talent who knows the system. If they dont want a pool, better a developmental team B.

plus these guys are professionals, they know that they might be cut. if team usa will have this same mentality no player would want to play during the windows since none of them will be part of the final line up anyway

You got it,plus the fact that if you're not feeling it,then just don't make yourself available,player might have some personal,or just not mentaly prepared for such a big responsibility for the time being.But then again the powers that be,will get offended and next you know there's a rumor that the player is a diva,or just priced themselves out of the team.

But some situation, example what happened to Thirdy last WC... He was always in the pool, make his time to commit for the national team, he goes early in the practice but in the end he was snubbed in the final line up... Thirdy admit it already na sumama loob nya dun... Same w/ Abueva in 2016 under Tab... iniyakan nya ang pag cut nun... He also put his time to be part of Gilas but he was cut... I think this is what CTC wants to avoid... Kung 12 eh 12 na talaga, He will just take replacements from his team para walang samaan ng loob...

The guys who's going to occupy the rank of no 13 to 16 guys knows that they're practice players and subs,so it doesn't makes sense that feelings get hurt.In the last Superbowl 53 players suits up but no more than 40 played,those players knew why they're there ,no questions or feelings gets hurt its facts.The guys that are not gonna be pick with the final lineup are there to make the team better and leaned to be a good teamate in a short time.Its easier for the coach to pick a player that's already in the system than picking someone outside of that team,its much easier for CTC to turn his head and say Juan you're up and Pedro get ready just in case someone else goes down.

Yes, we need reserves... That's why CTC just tap reserve players under his team in the PBA, because they know the situation, they accept it and no need to adjust... Unlike if he tap players outside of his team, They need time, effort, learn the system and accept that he is just a reserve player... Can those players will accept the role being reserve players? Dapat walang samaan ng loob... Because if they not accept it, Better not to join....

Maybe CTC doesn’t want to break heart of those players that will not make it to the final line up… nakakasama din ng loob for those players that they will value the time for practice just to be left out… like what happened to Thirdy, sumama loob nya when he was not picked in the final 12 line up last World Cup… So CTC already picked sure 12 players until 2027… he will just get players as alternate in his Ginebra team as replacements for those players who will get injured or unavailable… that’s why many think that guys like Tolentino, Ahamnisi might be the replacements in case the original players are not available…

Job description is to learn the system, practice, and stay ready. At least these guys might be happy to get the chance, don't discount that possibility. Getting cut hurts, but you can use that as motivation like Thirdy did, in hopes of getting noticed and promoted.

The adding players on the pool has already been answered. There will be no reserves and it will be a 12-man pool only. However, no one has really asked if there's a possibility for a Team B.

its just the same. if you have team B, possibly a replacement to those players have injury or personal matters.. maybe CTC doesn't yet sink it to his mind that possibility.. i feel down the road he will face that situations,

Then the question is? Are they willing to be reserves and not to be get mad if they will not make it to the final 12? Guys like Cu or Japeth were willing to be reserves and not expecting to be in the final roster... Are Heading, RJ, SJ, Balti, etc.. do the same? Remember they didn't knew CTC system yet... they need long time to master it, but they have to sacrifice their off season time and could be their Mother ball clubs build up too... I'm sure those 12 picked by CTC are agree on those terms and they are already the core of Gilas until 2027... If guys like RJ, SJ will be tap, they have to compete against Scottie, Perez, Newsome and Oftana... Those 4 are already master CTC's system, And you know CTC, he is not type of coach that has patience to teach his system on a longer basis... That's why only handful of rookies under his watch in the PBA only successful under him...

Okay one side I get the point on naming some potential nt players as practice guys ala us select team but tim's point was that he simulates taiwan and hk players with cu (chinese name) and Gumaru(hehe) but seriously, like robert say, guys know their roles and has grasp on what they want to do...No one raised an eye when these guys cu, pringle were used as practice players in asiad preps..Thhis is a mature team and as we age a mature ibner can say w edont need 20 players in the pool if you only use 9 players...
