Yeah, I like Brownlee play more as a 3 with Gilas. Malonzo or Tamayo as 4's, & Brownlee as the 3.

With Quiambao in the floor, they can actually interchange with Brownlee as a 4 while Quiambao as a 3, then they can switch with Brownlee as a 3 while KQ slides to the 4 spot.

"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

      U mean the CBA? Really?

Yes, really. The players in the French 3rd division are still at a pretty good level.

For a country that constantly produces NBA/US NCAA/G-League/Euroleague talents, it won't surprise me if their 3rd division pro league will be ranked only just slightly lower or even at par with the CBA and its ex-NBA import-laden ball clubs.

For me, Brownlee needs to play after 1st window to erase the rust after 4 month hiatus in basketball.. he needs to be in game shape for tougher OQT games ahead.. maybe a short term contract by either B-League, KBL or IBL to condition himself… Boss Al will likely allow JB to play elsewhere from March - June.. joining practices in Ginebra is not enough for conditioning… he needs to be in shape.. marami nga nagsasabi na tumaba sya eh…

CBA is still ahead than B league bro and 3rd division French league level is like the British league in Europe…British league (BBL) is one of the lowest competition league in Europe (not surprising since British doesn’t like basketball at all)

The way Kouame has been playing lately,he should be going to the next level to test his skills further.

That's why I used China as the reference point, not the B.League.

                  • JB is being celebrated online, vloggers heap praises on him, even say he's the cause why Chinese players were mad for losing their bonus. Its just my opinion but it looks they're almost erasing Kouame's big contribution on that team, the way the're talking and comments on those channels.like Kouame was just a bench warmer.

JB was reason number one for that comeback.

However, lest we forget, Ange was reason number two, or even 1B. JB's explosion wouldn't matter if he didn't anchor our defense. Like sir Rds said, we were giving up baskets with June Mar on the floor, even with JB there. But there.

Kinda frustrating that he's being disregarded by the fans and some media guys, considering that of our pool of NP's right now, he's the next best fit after JB and JC.

                      • Cone says LA Olympics is the ultimate goal and his term is "year to year"

Though SBP has lined up a four-year program, Cone said his term as Gilas coach is year-to-year. He has put together a 12-man team that he intends to keep for the next four years, but is open to minor tweaks throughout the build-up.

Part of the build-up for the long term is the coming first window of the Fiba Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers where Gilas Pilipinas will face Hong Kong on February 22 and Chinese Taipei on February 25.

But ultimately, in the fourth year, we want to be playing in the Qatar World Cup. We have to qualify first but we want to be playing in the Qatar World Cup and we want to be finishing first in Asia, and get that berth in the LA Olympics. That’s been clear to me. That’s the goal of the SBP,” said Cone.

“We are going to the qualifier in July. We have an opportunity to qualify. It’s going to be a tough, tough road with Latvia playing at home. It’s really difficult but not impossible,” said Cone.

Cone intends to build the team up as competitively as possible to be at par with their opponents, most of whom are the world’s best.

“We are not going out there with the idea that we’re just going to show up and try to look good. We are going to go out there and try to win. That’s always going to be our philosophy. That will always be our goal. It won’t be our focus but it will be our goal. Our focus is just to get the process of getting better every day. But the goal is to win,” said Cone.

Because he doesn't play for Ginebra. Isn't much of an online presence, doesn't have the " pusong Pinoy" vibes that vloggers can milk. Him coming from a posh school doesn't really help.

Sings the national anthem, and can speak Tagalog. I mean, that helps his "pusong Pinoy."

Although, can't disagree with the posh school part.

Let’s hope things materialize for the better.

We don’t want another fuck up like in 2022 when Tab had to be “replaced”.

Consistency is the name of the game.

fans and vloggers were really quiet when it comes to Kouame's big contribution,it even sounds like they're trying to erase his presence on the team, like they won because of China's hubris of letting Gilas have 2 NPs playing.
