CTC is a better Center coach than CCR. Hopefully can develop Kai better.

When he's healthy, get him in the pool in the event that Newsome retires. He's already played with June Mar, Carl, Quiambao, and Dwight.

So that he will learn the system of CTC when he will get the chance to make it to Gilas roster under him..."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Agreed on Navarro. Probably our best defender at the SF position. His shooting has improved too.

Navarro under CCR’s Gilas was always a PF and it limited his capabilities.

Now they are working on Boatright’s naturalization but so far the guy is more of a shooter than an impactful defender.
Lets see if JMF or Kai improve on their defense. Otherwise they have to rethink their NP plans.

No way NP gets a fair return for him. They'll probably send their last man on the bench and picks ( which they can harvest again in the future)

Internationally and also in the nba, the PF position no longer has traditional PFs. Now, you have an SF and then a bigger SF as your PF (typified by Jerami Grant). Then the much bigger PFs that can play center plays as a center (typified by Anthony Davis).
For pace and space, teams only has at most one non-shooter (usually reserved for the C position) on the floor. PFs who can't shoot and not big enough to be a C has become extinct.
The offensive explosion internationally shows how hard it is to defend against pace and space. Gilas being collectively poor/mediocre at shooting will catch up to us soon.
Next to evolve is the SG position. You have to be an SG that can playmake (Harden, Jamal Murray, SGA, Heading).
Basically, guys are getting bigger but their skills are getting "smaller" (small-skilled, big-sized). Pretty soon, teams will have 3-4 players who are close in size and skill and then one big.
Then shooters all around. Movement + shooting is how you negate lack in size and athleticism.

He's a little long on the tooth there and besides the reason they want him he's willing to bum around and do nothing,at the beck and call of them, unlike the others, they have to deal with their present team and schedule.

Is Kouame's exemption from the team is due to his schedule or he doesn't fit in Cone's plans? It it's either or they need another NP that plays 4/5 that can play the perimeter so that if AJ is not healthy he can easily slide on those positions.

Ive seen Kouame’s latest highlights and his offenses looks better. 20 pts 6 rbs and a few blocks in 20 mins said the vlogger.
I dont know why SBP is not seriously considering him when all our centers are risky. Well maybe TC wants to see Kai for himself. JMF is still in good condition but it is unlikely he can improve his defense to WC levels at his age despite the lesser weight. AJ will always have to be load managed in his career.
I guess we’ll see this year. JB is not exactly in playing condition and is not young. I guess it depends on how we play against NZ. If we play well against a team B or up NZ then it will validate their lineup, particularly their choice of not using an NP center.
