The PBA should emulate the B-League (currently probably the fastest-growing and most profitable league in Asia right now) and allow teams to have a slot reserved for either a naturalized player or an Asian import. It would give our naturalized players a reason to stay here and be available to national team duties, and also give our FSA s in university leagues something to aim for.

Hoping Erika does her job to get exemptions for Phillips, Lucero, Datu, Laput, and BGR. We need these guys.

It will not happen, since that means they can free to leave the PBA and join B-League... Unless they can promise that they will be loyal to PBA and never leave for higher payday..

That is ironic. Without Kouame we would not have won Gold in the Asian games. Heck even Bronze was not a sure thing with the large deficits June Mar was giving up.

We needed both to be honest. But Brownlee was probably more important since the offense revolves around him and the modern game is biased towards great offenses.

That's why PBA misses the opportunity to help Ange's case for exemption... Now Kouame plays overseas, Is he have atleast little chance of getting exempted? But to be fair, any country wants to have their naturalized player ala "superhuman" type... Look what Jordan tapped? RHJ, A do it all NP for them, Indonesia tapped Bolden, An A tier type of NP, even Spain tapped great scorer and PG Lorenzo Brown... If i were federation, Why i will tap a NP but a role player type? Unless we have many great local players, who can match up against world's elite players such as Germany, Serbia or Canada... Even USA tapped Joel Embiid, even they have lots of talented players...

We need a naturalized player that can do it all... Let's be honest, If you are the coach of a basketball team, either PRO club or national team, What import do you want to have a chance to win more games? Nothing wrong tapping role player type of import, If we have local players who can play like an import, such as Dennis Schroder, Rui Hachimura or Luka Doncic... We don't have that, so tapping NP who can do it all is what doctor needs...
