Sbp.should hire a full time team director，coaching staff and international scouts.

Head coach and team director needs to go see all the games and players and talk to them...uaap, ncaa, pba, b league, kbl, etc.

International scouts should scout young fil-fors and help and convince them to secure a passport.

Sbp should also hire a full time grass roots coach and team to go around nationwide to preach reforms and pitch new ideas and directions

logical decision if they want Cone to coach the NT, have him coach UST, atleast he'll be handling kids that could serve as a core group for Gilas. with the way the Tigers are stinking it this season, Long Hair might just pull the trigger and create a new superfriends in the UAAP

I think you reward the current group with some loyalty. Im sure this many in this group still want to play and I think they deserve the opportunity to be intact for now, at least the rotation guys. Long term obviously we have to move on from most of these guys but I think they can be slowly phased out.

Then again, I actually have the Asiad rotation guys in my personal short-term pool up to 2025. June Mar, Oftana, CJ, Scottie, Newsome. Alas was a magic bunot, but I dunno if he can be replaced. Between Ange and JB, bahala na. Japeth's retired, so we need to replace him.

Now that he's in the PBA, I think SBP will submit his name to FIBA.

not necessarily. either his name is entered in provisional pool list (around 20 per window) or a one off request is done for him

1. B league/KBL guys
Edu, Dwight, Bollick, Kai

2. PBA guys
Malonzo, Newsome, Fajardo, Scottie, Oftana

3. Younger guys/non PBA guys
Tuffin, Winston, Tamayo, Balti

The lesser the competition the younger the guys we can put in.

For the NP slot I will prioritize a PF/C ineligible if Ange or JB is not available to offset the lack of eligible bigs.

I just hope SMC doesnt make it an all PBA thing. Its clear from the WC and even in Asian games that the PBA talent is not our best. We wouldve lost against China and Jordan if we didnt have our 2nd NP Ange, who is also not from the PBA.

Its ok if they do this but this runs contrary to the plans/outcry to keep CTC. If you keep CTC, you should keep his wards. Basically we need some sort of direction/plan.

Before the tournament, CTC was very vocal about not wanting the job. Then he wins gold. If I were him, this is the perfect time to really pass on the job. Learn from Chot's experience. Stay legendary.

I'm for using that lineup with an almost intact champion uaap team plus reinforcements. It will be interesting if they agree that the coach will also be from the uaap champion...then admu wins.

I think the PBA wont make anymore adjustments with regards to their schudule for the February window, I think by that time the All Filipino tournament will be starting. So it looks like the team that will be sent to the Feb window would mostly be made up of the pinoy imports, collegiate guys and Justin Brownlee.

But I do think they might plan their scheduled conferences for the next seaon with the July 2024 OQT and November 2024 window in mind.

Our fisrt match is against freaking hong kong, we should send and play young guys and think long term here and for tawian we can send the other deserving elite guys. Thanks for hagop rule we cannot easily just send the vacant pba team to play for this pre asia cup qualifiers

Maybe CTC does say no to the job. But if that was the case, I'd prefer actually opening the job for fulltime applicants and letting things land where they may.

chua did mention that he doesnt want to coach gilas anymore and wants to return to ginebra. so i dont think we will see CTC for the Qualifiers.
