It's actually same principle Newsome was back up to one of the eligible guards, (last player cut). Note Kouame was never considered as a Plan B NP, rather he was a placeholder center for a local (Kai ).

I went back in this forum because of the win of Gilas yesterday. After so many years of frustrations and heartaches we won the Gold. I started here way back 2009 when Gilas 1 was just starting. Time files fast Japeth and Marcio are retiring as Asian Games champions.

My only hope is that for the OQT next year we retain the core of this team and merge with the standouts of the World Cup team. I know it is an absurd proposition. But I hope Clarkson or even Brownlee could get an exemption as a Local . Well let us see. I hope CTC would still be the coach.

Ma's nauna ka sa akin dito sa IBN becoz I got here in 2011. That was the height of Smart Gilas program.
