As for Chua, I'm not a fan as well, because player and tactical development might not be a priority.
    Agree.

Should we credit whatever success our women basketball national team have achieved to SBP, Al Panlilio in particular? How sure are we that Panlilio & his minions at SBP have significant contribution to our women's team?

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. The only significant contribution of the Corporate Guy is to market and promote the Puso! Puso mantra of the Filipinos other than that it's all about cramming before the actual tournament proper.

Or his persistency in repeatedly pleading before FIBA for Jordan Clarkson's exemption, to no avail. Credit his persistency.

But may I ask, has SBP, Panlilio in particular, been that eager in pleading before FIBA for exemption on players like Kouame, Mike Philipps, Kai Balungay?

            Sir,

Maybe the Corporate Guy had little idea about those lads or just waiting for the right time for Kai and Mike..as for AK34 he is already ripe for exemption.

You're the head of the SBP & you have little idea about Philipps, Balungay & Kouame? An averaged IBNer here seems more familiar with those guys.

Well, I hope that the corporate guy is just waiting for the right time for those guys to be ripe for FIBA exemption.

They are afraid that if they file for exemption for them, They will leave the country and play for Japan, Korea, Australia, etc... as professionals.... Look at the past rookie draft, The top picks are mostly ineligible.. It means they don't have to be worry that they will leave... That's plain and simple....

                • Why woold a executive of a business seek exception to be a FIBA local? That woold risk losing them.to b league and accepting $$ , to the dismay of his teams his business owns ( PBA teams ), see how conflict of interest it is, and how messed up.

                    Sir,

Except for some PBA games, I haven't seen even the shadow of his tuxedo watching a NCAA so far..oppsss!! UAAP will commence tomorrow it seems that he seldom watch college games since graduating from his alma mater ADMU mentored by one of his motivating person in the basketball world that keeps him always on his toe and his name is Thomas Anthony Baldwin.

Well, Chot's the best from the PBA. If he's the best, and no other PBA coach is as capable as him, I think we should be looking OUTSIDE the PBA for coaching options.

Coach Tim is also not the guy to carry us forward, I think. Need a non-PBA coach for international comp.

To the UAAP where the Pinoy coaches are also used to FIBA style of play and officiating, i suppose?

i suggest the bald champion college coach with a "Win" suffixed to his name. Yes, the one from Katipunan.

Need to get the coach out of Katipunan first, just to avoid the piracy allegations. If not him, Jeff Napa and Charles Tiu could suffice.
