Tab had Mike Nieto and Isaac Go. Difference is, Mike played way better in his role to defend, hustle, and make threes. Go is smart enough to know where to rotate, even though he bricks sometimes.

Looking at the plus minus, the Mike Nieto minutes did as in against DR. He had a team worst minus 20 something in a 20 something loss. But those were qualifier games that were actually more for development. But this is the WC.

But I also think its the setups. Heading is a deadshot shooter but has a slow release. You have to give him wide open looks. I think this is partly the reason why our shooters are cold.

At this level I think kickouts are not very open considering the length and speed of the opponent. Consider our game against Korea, we forced to miss some of their open 3s or forced them to contested drives because we had 6’6 Navarro and 6’8 Balti running at them.

Looking at Nenads screens, they wouldve been perfect.

Pogoy's role is to be Chot's middle finger to his so-called "haters". He's Chot's billboard saying, "I can do what I want, deal with it!"

The fans just need to boo him in front of the home crowd as payback.

Point taken on Mike. It's just that he hasn't had multiple bad ganes, and always did his role. He's just not good enough.

Man, if Navarro and Balti made it. But, Navarro's injured and Chot doesn't know how to use him. Balti's not exactly in the radar.

I will say, I remember pogoy from the cadets, him jalalon and Rosario stood out. Pogoy stood out the most because he did the things that don’t show up on the stat sheet.

Heading I think has a quick release, Abando on this team I’d say has a slower release.

The TOs rate are crazy stats,thats way too much specially from the guards,its gonna be alot more booing if they have double digit TOs.

this is all fine and good if it helps us win or trim the lead but instead it's gonna increase the lead and/or turn into brawl

Maybe hard to believe but in at least one "closed-door" game, Pogoy was the reason the team won. I think he's one of the few players in the team suited for the ugly, slugfest type of game.

That is if he can walk the fine line between being that tirador/annoyer and not start a brawl. Every pinoy team has to have that one player.

I think more than being the elite defender type, the role that he would play is the annoying defender type. Someone to throw off an opposing player who's too comfortable. Not necessarily with good defense.
