Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

Dude can contain the perimeter and is adept in hedging and blitzing. Too bad he’s nursing a mild ankle sprain. To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

If only Chris Newsome is about 3 to 4 years younger, he would be a good Gilas prospect for the post-2023 World Cup."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Thompson is the type of point guard U would want for Kai to play with in order to maximize Kai's potential. Thompson is the type of player who will always find Kai in its best scoring position near the basket. Yung iba kasing teammates ni Kai sa Hiroshima Dragonflies, especially the imports, couldn't locate Kai while he's in a good scoring position near the basket. Mga buaya kasi yung ibang imports ng Hiroshima."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. These past windows, though, I'm seeing more effort in closing out. Credit to the staff. I just hope we retain that effort.

Without JB, PF will be our weakness. Dwight is our one and only decent SF. Turning him to PF will force JC to SF, making the team shorter. So I think getting a PF should be Chots priority when they come back. From PBA it could be Tratter. B league, Carl or Adams. And there’s Balti.

Interesting how Thompson has transformed to a real lead guard, can really see the benefits of athleticism as a PG, he's not mismatched vs other FIBA guards
I think Newsome lacks handles , shooting and passing for a PG, he's forced to pick up his dribble when preasured

Hasn't Chot seen enough when he paired Kai and Japeth? This Euro tuneup will partially go down the toilet if we don't identify our starting PF. Tune up with JB getting majority of PF minutes when we're targeting JC is stupid. Unless, they are considering not getting JC.

As for Newsome, yeah, he's no point guard & his handles is a questionmark for a point guard, though his passing is for me impressive. Newsome simply lacks the reps playing point guard.
BTW, to D'Admiral: What's your take on CJ Perez playing as a point guard or combo guard for Gilas?"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game.
