    Exceptions can still happen.

Plausible for Phillips and perhaps Rosser , super unlikely for Standhardinger and Ross and besides they're old like others in Gilas roster , which is also the point of why field a roster in lowly & unsafe SEAG with NO potential to field in an official FIBA game ?

No need to answer question, we know the answer winnng to redeem was a MUST.

Because the SBP-PBA are run by win-now individuals who don’t have the capacity for long-term vision.

I was never high on Ross anyway. We have a fuckton of players who can do the same things he does with more offense.

CStan not getting an exception was a loss for sure. I hope he changes his mind and represent us in the 3x3 at least.

        Our 3x3 teams simply suck.

I think it's not... Thailand will host 2025 SEAG and their roster compose of Thai-Ams or mixed blood that is not eligible too in FIBA... They will use whatever the advantage they have just to get their elusive Gold medal in basketball.... Although they will not allowed multiple non ASEAN blood players just like Cambodia did... Maybe they will limit by just only 1 NP per team or they can scrap non ASEAN blood players to participate at all even they have passports too....

Doing so is passing up the chance of having the potentially most athletic bigmen rotation ever for our National Team.

            AJ Edu (6'10)
            Ange Kouame (6'10)
            Michael Philipps (6'8)
            Ron Harper, Jr. (6'6)/Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (6'7)

I want Hollis-Jefferson to be our naturalized player. If not him, Harper, Jr.

No, for the naturalized player spot. I was not able to make myself clear.

I actually preferred Hollis-Jefferson over Brownlee to undergo to the naturalization process. Brownlee was naturalized for sentimental reasons rather than what Gilas really needs.

                • Noted , naturalization via congress is tedious and expensive, reason i would explore giving passports to players with Filipino roots to expedite the process of having more NP

                  • 2 Bigmen prospects that I think had a good chance to be included for future exemption despite acquiring PH Passport after their 16th birthday.

Personally I was personally surprise that QMB decided to put his name in the transfer portal to give way for a possible UAAP. According to Filam Nation coach Cris Gopez on one of his interview during the recently concluded 2023 NBTC that 100 kids from their disposal already received their respective PH Passport as of 2022 therefore the possibility that the 6’10 dude already received his document when he is still 21 yrs. old(?) and that possible 2 years eligibility stint in UAAP(if ever) then possible playing for the PBA D League and eventually to the PBA for several season is already a solid merit for exemption

                    https://tiebreakertimes.com.ph/tbt/q...-portal/268696

6’10 CJ Lane had also a good chance to get that exemption considering that he already lived and studied here alongside his younger brother Chase when they are serving their residency for a possible stint at UAAP Season 81 in DLSU but decided to go back to the States to finish his schooling.

That's the reason why it was mind-blogging to naturalized someone like the 35-year-old Justin Brownlee. What we can do to exhaust his naturalization is to - process the PH passports of his sons Jye and Justin, Jr. as early as possible.

It's the model in the Philippines, where the sponsor SMC of Brownlee processing can decide to do anything with their money.
this is the problem when the federation actually has no real power or autonomy on what to do best for the sport .the paradigm is foreign to many in the Philippines aa it's always been that way. NOT realizing the reason it has remained that way is the powers that be (the elite) want to keep it that way to keep to control and keep wealth. There not a big enough middle class to be able to change and challenge things. Heck there not even a real players union to protect their wellbeing

And the passing and improved shooting will be key. Help defense is good too.

Quiambao keeps this up, he'll be a viable NT guy that can play the 3, and maybe 4 in small ball lineups. He'll have to do it quickly though, as he's already 22.

If he can push it further, maybe he can play 2, who knows?

Has he slimmed down and move faster laterally? I hope he transitions to SF because he really gives up ceiling internationally. He just needs to be consistent with his outside shooting and handles. If La Salle can give major minutes to Manuel at SF I am sure they can with KQ.

I thought they had a new FSA?

                            • i hope KQ can be developed as our own version of Luka a big point guard that is not super fast and athletic but has good footwork and timing,

Yeah, he looks slimmer and faster, although the speed is more north to south. He moves more fluidly now, though.

Naveen Ganglani says that Quiambao does move like a guard, though: https://twitter.com/naveenganglani/s...YNLr2oQYA&s=19
