Their kids' documents can easily be processed so that they can acquire passport before reaching 16 years old.
This is hard because then you have to employ them so they stay in the country. Brownlee is the resident import of GSM. But Kouame is probably too tall for the Governor's cup.

      • Actually a doable feasible approach is to eventually get exception for :
        Kouame and Phillips

Then milk Brownlee remaining years, while expanding the pool of NP with ineligibles by processing passports for

        Harper Jr
        Kameka Hepa
        Etc etc

What makes this hard is the protectionist rules of the PBA and other leagues that prohibits naturalized players to play as locals.

Well, we can't do anything about it since it's their prerogative.

Take away this and we can make all of our naturalized players stay in the Philippines.

Yes we should go there. I think they should start with increasing the Govs cup height limit to accomodate those guys.

We should do away with the height limit, the better.

Guys, do U think the Indonesia, Thailand & Cambodia teams that played in the recent SEA Games are within the same level as the complete & full force teams of Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Bahrain, Qatar?

For the aseans now their benchmark is the Guam nt.. Indo defeated Saudi already.. Saudi was able to kept in step with us at their home floor without al suwailem

Cambodia will easily expose Bahrain and present qatar team..given savaya's been the coach in west asia league..
The sea games gilas will easily beat the windw 6 gilas given how mason armos the darling of that window 6 team was almost a non factor
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                  1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Securing an exemption for both Kouame and Philipps will be huge for Gilas as it will add ceiling to our frontcourt. Both are strong, can defend and can rebound.

And making exemptions for Mike and Ange will mean a bigger chance of them playing abroad.

Yeah. SMC might not be inclined to apply for the exemption of Phillips. But if you think about it there a lot of non-eligible guys coming in. Phillips is raw. He is not exactly a franchise player yet.

But in reality, Cambodia's NP line up can't be line up altogether in FIBA sanctioned games... So they will be s*ck again after this SEAG....

                          • So the doubts of JC's availability is now gone... JC will be alongside Gilas in Lithuanian camp next month... So it's him or nothing for Gilas... JB will be back up and sure NP for Asian Games....

Gilas Pilipinas expects to bring Jordan Clarkson to Lithuania when it ramps up its buildup for the FIBA World Cup after the National Basketball Association standout advised of his availability for national team duty as early as late-June. The Lithuanian camp may include a pocket tournament, a setup that is being revisited following Gilas Pilipinas’ […]

Like what I said days ago, after the recent SEA Games, Cambodia will be back again in the slaughter house. U bet the Cambodia SEA Games would be the last SEA Games where multiple imports are allowed in the basketball compwtition. That multiple imports in the Cambodia basketball has definetely stirred controversy.
