This is really are state or lack of legit mobile forwards
You are really not a fan of Twin Towers Frontline. Lol

      Like Kai/Edu or Junmar/Japeth at C/PF.

However, I think both styles will be tried and tested in game.

I mean both Wing at PF and Center at PF will be tested by Coach Chot depending on matchups.

Dwight was pretty good at 4 the past windows. I won't complain, especially if against Lebanon or even Jordan or SoKor.

Yeah, that's pretty much our best 4/5 rotation without Ange. You can include Dwight at 4 for some stretches for a small ball lineup.

Yeah, some PBA stars' games don't translate to FIBA.
Like Arwind. A thin 6'4" PF who is best as a help defender, and who's not good guarding the post, and might not likely battle inside for rebounds. Furthermore, his only perimeter skill is shooting.

You can include Ian Sangalang in that group. Good low-post scorer in the PBA, but he shoots only up to 18 feet, and can't guard in space at all for a 6'6" guy.

I mean, lesser stars and role players' games translate better, like Navarro, Fonacier, MGR (if only on defense), and Chan.

And, you can be strong inside without sacrificing mobility. And I also said once about June Mar's rice intake, yeah, he likes rice, but that should come with the corresponding conditioning to ensure that he can still be a force inside while not sacrificing mobility, to offset any possible weight gain.

Sayang. OK, he's serviceable in FIBA as a scoring option and rebounding presence, but yeah, he could have been more on defense, both in FIBA and the PBA. And, feeding him inside a little more could help.

Anyway, Junmar is most likely to be a part of next year's Gilas WC Roster. Especially without Ange and maybe not 100% AJ.

Based on Coach Chot and Coach Tim Tendencies imo. I think these are the players who will they choose in the Pool

PBA: Scottie, Malonzo, Japeth, CJ, Junmar, Bolick, Newsome, Alas, Navarro, Oftana, and

                  yes Pogoy (Coach Chot).

Non PBA - Kai, AJ, Dwight , Parks, Kiefer, Tamayo, Baltazar, Thirdy, Wright, Heading, Tuffin, Dalph

NP pool: JC, Ange, and Brownlee

Good for him. Is there any news where he will play after UAAP?

None, but he wants to play in Europe or Japan.

                            • I made some sort of research/scouting about Jordan national team top local player 7-foot Ahmed Al Dwairi. I think with Hamed Haddadi now getting old & getting washed up, Al Dwairi, China's Zhou Qi & of course our very own Kai Sotto are among the elite centers among locals in Asian basketball at present. From what I saw in Al Dwairi's game, he is really more of a back-to-the-basket type of a big guy. It seems 3-point shooting is non-existent in his game & in fact I hardly saw him hit medium range jumpers. I think Junmar Fajardo may have a better mid-range jump shot than him.

We saw an Al Dwairi-Kai Sotto match-up when Gilas faced Jordan in the 5th window with Al Dwairi getting the better over Kai. But I think Kai was able to hold his own against Al Dwairi. We have to remember, it was a match up between a 20-year old kid who is just a 2nd year pro versus a 29-year old grown man who is already at the peak of his career. Kai has nothing to be ashamed of with the way he held his own against Al Dwairi. Al Dwairi may be able to outmuscle Kai at present but wait till Kai's body further matures & gains strength in a few years & the tables might be reversed. I see Kai as more skilled than Al Dwairi, not to mention that he is taller than Al Dwairi. Kai has a 3-point shooting (though not yet consistent) in his arsenal & he can dribble drive which makes him dangerous offense wise. As his body matures & gets stronger, Kai's back-to-the-basket inside game is expected to improve.

This season, Al Dwairi is averaging 7.5 pts & 6.6 rebs./game while playing 21 mins./game with his team in the Turkish BSL pro league. Kai on the other hand is averaging 6 pts & 4.3 rebs. in only 13 mins. of playing time per game in the NBL. Imagine what Kai's average would be if he gets around 18 to 20 mins of playing time.

I think the Turkish BSL is slightly more competitive than NBL-Australia. That is why I'm convinced that if for instance Al Dwairi gets to play in Australia, he most likely would be hitting in double figures in scoring (say 10 pts per game).
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV
