Even the likes of Suerte and Bulanadi wants to leave Gilas too... Wala na tayo magagawa kay na ibalik si Tab.. Yes, i agree coaches should emulate Tab's coaching principles but who is the best guy that has good shot with PBA too?

Kaya nga siguro inalis si Tab dahil dn sa reason nato (just my thought). Its World CUp, the grandest basketball event then no PBA players or coaches? c'mon its common sense.
More than anything, it's a business. Everyone wants a piece, especially the PBA. Goddamn politics and business, taking precedence over the improvement of basketball here.

Even with less business interests in conflict, these absolute troglodytes still fail to kickstart the engine. They already have a lot of serviceable PBA players like Malonzo, Oftana, Newsome and still fail to finish against an Asian team who are also missing several key players.

He's like all Filipinos working overseas (OFW), and Filipinos are respecting the culture of other countries... He didn't respect Filipno coaches even our coaches are "Tactical immatured".. He has to learn respect to his co-workers!!!!
We need to swallow our pride and learn from people like Tab if we want improvements and better results be it in basketball or in life in general. We lag behind because of being onion-skinned and having a false sense of nationalism. The truth hurts! When Tab mentioned ' tactical immaturity' to me, he was even more polite and respectful. If the stakeholders can't get over it and SBP can't do something about it then we the common tao, should organise ourselves and present our case to the higher authorities in FIBA because Philippine basketball doesnt deserve to be in the kangkungan.

I agree 101%. The incompetence is killing the sports here and is depriving a generation. SBP is sleeping with the enemy.

          • Philippine Basketball = Philippine Society = Philippine Politics

In Short: Less Expectations, Less Disappointments

It has all the elements of society and politics: Politicking, Corruption, Deceit, Lies, Crab Mentality, Nepotism, Gamitan, Kapalmuks and most of all, BALAT SIBUYAS.

Tab wasn’t disrespecting anybody. He was merely telling the truth. The SBP and the PBA were simply onion skinned and unable to swallow their pride as well as accept facts.

If you are unable to take a good look at yourself and improve, then what’s the point of expecting better results using a failed system?

Your attitude is the attitude of a typical pinoy who can’t discern constructive criticism from an actual insult. Do you have stockholm syndrome? You have shown the past few months that you’re a massive quitter who would rather support a failed system than work to improve it—even if it means doing the least a fan can do: be vocal.

The majority here support the national team. Not the SBP or the PBA’s bullshit

It's many in the old guard of coaches that's tactically immature.

We have a batch of younger coaches that can adapt better. Ironic that these guys are the more tactically mature ones.

This is constructive criticism. Anyone smart enough to read between the lines can figure out that the FLB probably doesn't allow its pro players to leave West Asia when Arakji is more than capable of playing in Australia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Can anyone imagine Kai going on twitter tweeting "ANO PLANO NIYO?" and tag the SBP if things won't go his way?

                        He’s smart enough not to.

I don't think Tab was telling the truth there. Not the tactical immaturity thing but the other lines he said that we have enough bigs and we develop players well enough. Maybe for an asian level yes but a world level? I don't think so.

the gaslighting has been ongoing for quite some time now. just recently, quinito wrote that "the Philippine team has come under heavy fire from disappointed fans for failing to retain the SEA Games championship last May and finishing out of the playoffs in the FIBA Asia Cup last month."
