I think Abu Tratter is a better option than Sanggalang.
He gone. Let’s move forward with what we have.

That alone should have gotten him a 25 year banned coaching in FIBA.

Yeah. As I've said Gilas is not in wanting in talent as it is in wanting in preparation. I think we have more than enough talent, manipis lang talaga tayo sa big man spot. But our wings & guards are just too solid at least on paper.

Di nya talaga palalampasin the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to coach in front of the homecrowd and I don't blame him one bit.

You know what's embarassing is for every loss even if its close,he should be booed up to the rafters and I hope FIBA doesn't censor it and it gets shown to the international basketball community.I wonder why the Australians didn't even lobby FIBA to ban Chot,I'm pretty sure if there's a call from Australia,US and other powerhouse Euro teams of a protest,Chot will be out of the picture.

That would be something to see on a global scale, but I would be too embarrased as it will be seen as a sign of a very obvious dysfunction within the basketball landscape of this country.

As for the petition from other countries regarding CCR's lifetime ban, i don't think he was made fully accountable on the Gilas-AUS brawl. So he just resigned from his post and that was it? Or was there a heavier sanction?

Well letting him off the hook to wrestle back the HC from Tab and set back PH basketball by 10 years seems like the heavier punishment..

                Thanks a LOT FIBA

Heck I would go as far as every SBP top executives that enter and leave the arena or even parking lot should just be booed.Well,we'll call ourselves the Philippine version of Philly fans, they even booed Santa and injured players who delays the game.Panlilio looks like he has thin skin,if you boo him enough looks like he would have a meltdown in public.

Did he even paid a fine? I mean he just walked away with his tail between his legs.

                    • This I say, if we lose our game vs. Lebanon, I think majority of Gilas fans who are set to watch the Gilas-Saudi Arabia game on Aug. 29 would be so angry & frustrated with Chot & SBP officials that they most likely will show such resentment & disgust in the playing venue.

                      • Time for Kai to show he could play 25mins or more. I’m really worried about our interior defense everytime he’d sit.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

We should be more worried of our overall defense when a reyes is coaching

And our 2 main guys (JC and Kai) aren't exactly known for their defense. Yeah they might be miles better than their next alternative but they still need to incorporate a proper scheme to maximize them. This isn't a cakewalk like Panlilio and Chot make it out to be. Pick up game defense isn't going to cut it. I wouldn't be surprised if even Saudi Arabia would give this team problems

His length alone is already disrupting opponent's kind of offense that they will play... You can watch Kai's last year's stint and you see how impactful is he on defense... Even Kouame sits, he can handle post defense inside alone... Only concern if he can play more than 20 mins? True acid test for Kai before he will play in Adelaide later this year.... Maybe Tamayo or Quiambao should defend Aldreage or Haidar first so that we can preserve Kai's foul limit....
He could be better. It's not his calling card. He could scare a lot of driving players with his height alone but honestly he needs to be a better rebounding big. We're terribly undersized inside apart from him so I dunno who's going to rebound or even box out as the other guys aren't exactly the gritty rebounding types either. Hopefully he'll show that he's ready for that role
