Oo nga, e, too bad for him. If not for that heart surgery, he could have been worth a look as NT head coach again. He was Tab's front man in the November window, he might have learned something.

Pero, ayun, the heart surgery happened. Just best as a helper and a commentator.

player availability is a separate problem but this should be a good start to have PBA coach to have a solid international experience. use SEA and Champions Cup as practice for whoever PBA coach they want. the Toromans, Dickels, Baldwin, and Vucinic are better than our coaches in FIBA (lets be specific) because they have years of experience. lets learn and earn those years. if ABL goes back, might as well put set the target coach there as well. you get an experience pinoy coach who is PBA affiliated. ano pa gusto?

Ito ba ang liga na pinagmamalaki ni Al Chua? Shame on U!!!

Ang kapal naman ng apog nitong si Chua to underestimate somebody like a Tab Baldwin who is a proven successful coach in FIBA basketball.

I challenge Al Chua, Choke Reyes & Al Panlilo to criticize or bash Mr. Tab Baldwin before the FIBA community. I'm sure these idiots will get lambasted to death by everyone in the FIBA community. These idiots will sound like shameless villains in the FIBA community.
I have a question. The Goldwin-coached UP squad that won the UAAP championship last May, can our old guard coaches beat Tab's Ateneo with the same UP squad?

          • I say the guard & wing positions are just too solid with Clarkson, Thirdy, Dwight, Parks, Malonzo, Oftana, Kiefer, Iskati Thompson. Wala kang itulak kabigin sa mga players na ito. Its solid, at least on paper, but as they say, basketball is played in the hardcourt, not on paper.

I just hope that Gilas can establish enough cohesion/chemistry despite having only a very very limited time of preparation.

I doubt that very very very very much!! I wouldn't bet my rent money against coach Tab's Ateneo team with UP being mentored by either a Choke Reyes, or Leo Austria, or Tim Cone.

This Gilas team should win at least by 20 points despite having Chot as a coach...imagine, you have the NBA 6th man Clarkson, 7'2 Kai, and an array of top B-League and PBA stars......Chot has to do something incredibly stupid in order for Gilas to lose against Lebanon

                        LOL!

If ever Gilas loses to Lebanon in a very very close game that could have gone either way, Choke Reyes & Al Panlilio are going to bite their elbows regreting that they only gave Gilas a 10-day training instead of say a 20-day training period.

Only Adams is FIBA eligible as far as I know.

                            • Chot-coached teams in the past were good enough to medal or were able to go toe-to-toe against world caliber NTs because they had solid defensive anchors in Pingris, Norwood, and Blatche. I wonder who will be designated to take on such an arduous task in this present iteration of Chot-coached Gilas.

                                Navarro and Lopez supposedly.

But Chot being Chot, he underutilizes both players in favor of more offensive players.
