Thanks. But point is still true. No new local coach. I think he coached a hybrid team of OG Gilas and TNT players, right?

                • I'll probably hang around for UAAP discussions. We can at least talk about who can play overseas there. League is also a becoming more and more competitive, with UE and UST being the only real question marks as to competitiveness.

                    • Very sad to see some of U guys go. It really saddens me so much to hear U saying goodbye.

I just hope that someday all of U will be back here. I'm looking forward to that.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

At this point, that's our best bet. Hoping for our best UAAP and NCAA players to go overseas.

Our NT is a mess, and I dunno if the PBA can develop few players to be FIBA-ready, since only Abueva, June Mar, Terrence, Perez, and Bolick have been notable PBA contributors who developed in the PBA.

                          Incompetent management too.

since after the PH-AU brawl I have always advocated that PBA be separate from the NT. multiple times I have stated I have nothing against PBA. but reality is, they cant permanently fix their schedule and this will lead to schedule conflict with getting players. it is also unfortunate that the people who wants to shoulder the cost of running the NSA are part of the PBA. you cannot remove the fact that they want to help their team, ergo the league eventually, whil running the NSA. maybe PBA can firmly hold on to certain tournaments like SEA games and FIBA Asia Champions Cup. but other than that, let a separate team carry the flag. yun lng, we will always say we aren't sending the best players. whether people believe that or not, we just can't rely on the PBA to carry the flag full time year in and year out. SBP, as THE nsa for basketball of the country, should also ensure PBA don't bully players who doesn't go straight to PBA after college. it gives that look that they are under the PBA. yes, maybe they are, but being an NSA means they should be managing every basketball organization in the country. magkunwari man lng sila. but it is what it is.

side note, i still see that group inviting people to watch PBA and wear whatever. i wonder if they know that this actually favors PBA? they are additional seats being paid for and free advertisement for the league. wont stop them, if thats what they want, go ahead. but ill leave this here for our basketball gods: how do you kill a god? stop believing.

And this is MVPs successor in the Salim companies here. He cant even manage SBP right. So emotional about having a Pinoy coach even if he is worse. The corporate world is supposed to be a meritocracy. If this is how he manages PLDT, palakasan and pakikisama as opposed to galing, then I wonder about the companys future
