I will say it again , there are levels to individual talent , we are NOT a top 15 nation in the world based on individual talent , for us to be competitive at world stage regardless if we use the best players available (Pros etc) we can not win relying on individual talent we can only level the playing field via team play.
Solano , Nunez and Liz are not NBA players , it goes to show you there are really levels to individual talent

Experience and harden thru professional leagues is also needed.thays why PBA players are needed. Even CTB says so.
Thats why 2014 WC was better in terms of handling different teams with different play style.

Does SJ and Kai have Grudge to each other???? Lol.
SJ never passed the ball to Kai. Vice Versa. HHa
Someone here mentioned it started at the Batang Gilas time, but I thought it was with the PG with "hair on his face" who plays like SJ dribble, dribble don't look for the open postman chuck a 3.

Of course Ateneo can beat PBA local teams especially using FIBA rules, it's already been done, and contiunues to be true.
More matured professionals defintiely will help , no one is saying otherwise. ( certainly not Tab) but these pros don't necesssary have to come from the PBA. Clakrson, Kiefer, Thirdy, Tuffin etc etc , obviously having dwight will help . And yes Kiefer happnens to be in the PBA, but if he's not , it does not matter , it's NOT necessary they have to come from the PBA , they can be matured pros playing elsewhere., that helps, just look at DR, they're matured , but how many of them play in the DR league?Last edited by DAdmiral; 07-01-2021, 10:17 PM.

Despite a sour end to their 2021 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament-Belgrade campaign, Gilas Pilipinas still has a lot to be proud about. And for Jordan Heading, the only player in the young Gilas team that is considered as a “pro” player, he hopes that they were able to prove that they belong in the world […]
Casing point , Jordan Heading, is the only player in the young Gilas team that is considered as a “pro” player, yet he hasn't played a PBA game.
meaning does not necessarily have to be PBA pros

Speaking of a point guard that feeds the big guy in the post well, isn't that one upside in Kiefer's game? I have this feeling that if Kiefer plays with this current Gilas squad, mabubusog ng mga alley opp plays & good passes to the low post sina Kai & Kouame. That alley oop pass by Kiefer to Kai in that short video clip of Gilas practice last February is an indication of what Kiefer can do with our top big guys in Gilas."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

If we don't have talent then how we keep close to Top 15 competition? Didn't Coach Rajko, Tab and Dickel said we have talent to be competitive? Should thier opinion value more?
When did Ateneo defeated PBA in competitive game with FIBA rules?
