Illustrated when Pinoy players leave for overseas leagues disrupting the status quo eco system, with a real prospect that the national team like others can be formed by players from overseas leagues which inevitably the domestic league (PBA ) loses relevance for FIBA competition. Which the powers that be fight back to keep in control.

So now we know the facts,why Jr is coaching all the youth teams,even tho there's no clamor or anyone begging him to do so.As I said many times,Panlilio's name should be included to be ask to resign and I hope they make a big sign too.You can tell he's thin skinned and I don't think he takes criticism so well.

DAdm, would you have any idea whether Nenad is suddenly apprehensive of being part of staff given how SBP threw Tab under the bus? I'd imagine he wouldn't be too pleased. It could very well happen to him in the future.

Here is the story that a friend of mine, an Atenean Alum, told me.

Although Tab has a good relationship with MVP he does not have that kind of relationship with Panlilio and Vargas. And ever since MVP stepped down from his post at the SBP, Tab would mostly communicate with MVP instead of directly talking to Panlilio and Vargas. He said that Vargas and Panlilio took offense to that.

Another reason why Panlilio and Vargas wanted Tab out was because Tab convinced some of his players to explore options outside of the Philippines and together with Mark Dickel's connections they helped alot of these players get in touch with the foreign leagues. And this did not sit well with the PBA which Vargas and Panlilio are a part of.

He also said that it was true Tab was stressed out and the main reason he wanted to take a break was because of his sick brother. Tab talked directly to MVP to ask for a break and MVP obliged. But when MVP informed Panlilio and Vargas about Tab taking a break, one of them immediately called Tab and things got ugly. Although MVP tried to salvage the situation SBP immediately went to the press and proclaimed Tab resigned. If you guys remember Tab did not release any statement because he did not actually resign on that day but was made to step down. Despite Chot claiming ignorance he knows all of the events that transpired and he happily took that job because the man enjoys the attention although it back fired on him big time lol.

I wonder which SBP stakeholder would dare bring this up on their emergency meeting on monday? if only PBL is still here Chino would definitely speak up.. Progressive FILBASKET 's Jai is an outspoken guy but he is a reyes so i doubt it . UAAP/NCAA/MPBL/CESAFI/BCAP will just nod their heads. PSL under Marc Pingris is 50/50 because he is close with CCR. Basically Panlilio/Vargas are this generation's Graham Lim but worse. If MVP does not act accordingly then it will go full circle

That's the thing people are afraid to speak up, I mean you had Vargas in an official PBA press conference, announce they were after illegal recruiters , and were complaining about the exodus of players and accused the practice as bad and even illegal.
And here is the thing ,none of the press members even questioned what Vargas was claiming is absurd and wrong . Takot kasi.

This is really the problem.

You can't blame them... Just look at Ateneo incident last Sunday... He needs to do wrong to tell his side on what is happening to his city about rumors of Drug relates issues in Basilan...
