Nu-nu is more a Thirdy replacement. He doesn’t have the Birdman’s playmaking ability.

If thats the plan, then I think they should choose the PBA over Taiwan. Then when they are eligible, if they want the money, Japan is available.

They have to play for Gilas first before going to Japan.

                    • It’s not just Northport’s Jamie Malonzo who has been cleared by FIBA to play as a local for Gilas Pilipinas. Tiebreaker Times has learned that three more players were also able to be given local status if ever they get chosen to be part of the national team pool. A quick check with the FIBA […]

                      Wow. Just reposting the link.

                      Anyare.

                      It started with Malonzo.

                      Now Adams, Ahanmisi, and Newsome.

                      And Even Harper became local

                          • What is Lebron Lopez's true position? Small forward, small ball 4? i prefer him to be the 2 guard, but i dont kow if he has the outside shot, or has skills for playmaking.

Crucial for his exemption is that he (Newsome) was reside here since 2013, So 9 years of staying and playing professional league (PBA) is the basis here... If those you mentioned play overseas after their college careers will be excluded already in eligibility rule... It means, Lucero, Philips bors., etc... should stay here and play in PBA to continue their residency years.....
Yeah but since they are still ineligible they cant go to Korea or Japan just Taiwan. So they can think of it as an investment and if they want the money of a Japan they can once they become FIBA eligible. This on top of representing the country obviously.
