Originally posted by judasmartel View PostI don't blame them. Not sure what happened with Kiefer's and RayRay's stints in the US, but Kobe Paras's US stint was a disaster because he wanted to be more of a celebrity than a basketball player.
EDIT: We don't really develop talent well so when top prospects try to go to top leagues like the G League, the difference in quality shows

NBL is way better than Japan and Korea and probably better than the CBA. It is now consistently producing NBA talent.
He's better off being in actual games as much as he can - that's the only way he can get better and climb the ranks.
At this point with his management, he is being treated more as a model or artista which is stunting his development and does not do anything about his stamina.

In hindsight, anything beyond EWP is likely a better decision because we now see how they are not investing on his development, but more of cashing on his "fame"

But they were more interested in Kaiju Academy and some commercial modeling.
And now, it's a question of they'll even get him to stick to the NBL to develop him game.

Just look at our local point guards. Outside of Kiefer, who can really play the point? No one.
SJ only got better this year but he was very error prone last year.
Halos lahat ng mga guards sa pinas, puro wannabee Westbrooks and Steph Curries.
