And yet FIBA has repeatedly ignored the appeal. Maybe FIBA will finally grant the SBP appeal when Clarkson is 60 years old!!!!"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Develop your grassroots program instead of resorting to stop-gap solutions.

Here's a thing with Clarkson, he will only be willing to play for Gilas in major FIBA competitions like the World Cup or the Olympics (that is if we get too lucky to make it there). Hindi mo naman pweding paglaruin yan sa mga window qualifiers. He probably won't even play for Gilas in the Asia Cup. Therefore, between him & Kouame, I would rather have the latter getting a FIBA exemption rather than the former. Kouame is around 6 yrs younger & is much more available."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Been wanting to put it out there as a hot take with the news of Malonzo suddenly being eligible after all these years: There goes our hopes of Clarkson becoming local. Of course just a theory on my part, but I feel like Clarkson getting local status is either getting stiff resistance from the competition or FIBA itself is erring on the side of caution and wouldn’t want to open a Pandora’s box. I mean, Clarkson is no Jawato. I think Malonzo and perhaps some more would serve as a pampalubag-loob because FIBA doesn’t wanna risk ruffling some feathers by granting Clarkson local status.Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

At this point, I dunno if there is a clear direction.

I think SBP should apply for Brandon Ganuelas Rosser for an exemption this early to be a local player as his brother Mattew was part of the past national teams, it should be logical."You don't play against opponents. You play against the game of basketball" Bobby Knight
