If SMC was cooperative last 2015, We have a chance to play at 2016 Olympics... Junmar is better option than Asi, Japeth is better option than Thoss, Lassiter is better option than Intal... But anyway past is past... The reason why i can't take SMC teams until now....

I dont understand why a supporting cast made up of way past their prime or third stringers: Thoss, Asi, Hontiveros, Intal would be good? SMC abandoned this team. Except for Ping who is untouchable.

correct me if I'm wrong, ROS also hesitated to loan Lee and Chan to the 2015 Gilas team due to poaching issues (by TNT)

Really despite the results in the 2016 OQT, we actually played one of the best basketball ever, and overachieved. It just didn't seem that way at the time as many had unrealistic expectations and thought we were better than we actually were also didn't realize the level of other national teams without NBA names were actually better than thought.

Yeah... But their spots was already taken by Romeo and Abueva anyway... So their absence is only little effect... But not having Junmar, Japeth and Lassiter hurts more than Lee and Chan....

Well, I think the main rotation of that 2015 team was better than the main rotation of the 2019 team.

A perimeter rotation of Castro, Terrence, Dondon, Abueva, MGR, and Intal wipes the floor with Kiefer, Lee, Pogoy, Barroca, Bolick, and Perez.

The bigs might be closer. Yeah, 2015 had RDO and Ping, but also old Thoss and Asi. 2019 had June Mar and Japeth, as well as Troy and Almazan.

The SF position are too small,isn't Tamayo and Baltazar play the 3,whenever they have the whole team,with Kai playing 4,with the other 5 if not in foul trouble and Baltazar is the forward combo,reliever for 4 and 3.I rather have a AK at 5 and a healthy Aj as starting 4,the 2 position will be loaded with so many combo guards anyways.So they need another 3 who's a defensive specialist whenever needed,and hopefully with some offensive firepower.

Yeah, Carl's a 4/5, but he has the size, strength, and toughness for that already. Plus, he's more versatile offensively than most fours, so OK na rin.

It's Balti that can play 3 for stretches.

Troy was a waste, man. He had athleticism, length, motor, and a bit of shooting. He was drafted at 23, he could have been much more than what he is now, especially on defense. Should have been Balti before Balti.

Troy doesn't have the handles to play as a small forward. I think he also lacks the laterals to play such position. When it comes to ball handling, Tamayo is better than Troy.
