Well whatever. The thing is, hindi bat tama naman ang sinabi ang sinabi ng Gilas Pilipinas FB account? those who understand what's going on in Phi basketball & have the rationale think that Gilas pililipinas fb account is spot on.
I also agree that there's no libel. The closest case might be moral damages, but a court will most likely dismiss it on the ground that only natural persons (as in tao talaga, not a corporation) can claim moral damages.

It is too early to identify players for 2023. You can just imagine how badly the 23 for 2023 listing miserably fails.
The main positive shown in window3 was systemic defense. On offense, the results are not that good. Around 9 of the current batch are reliable enough against consistent asian toughies like china, sk and japan. Against much bigger and more talented australia, about 7 would put up decent performance. Versus top ten nations seen in olympics and world championships -- where size, athleticism and skills are world-class in at least 4 positions every game -- around 5 of the present batchwont be embarrassing.
Tab's system, like any other, will miserably fail if players that are good only for lower asian battles are still used in world-class levels. I hope that tab does not allow hometown wins get into his head and pride. For a month's continuous practice, at least five other big and talented players can turbocharge gilas performance in hostile or neutral playing grounds.
Unlike past gilas teams, a core of five cohesively playing tough and talented players are enough.

You know, looking back, I have always wondered why the PBA even before the disasters of 2017 and 2019 has stopped inviting our National Team to their reinforced conferences and has this particular disdain for lending their best players to the NT.
Then I remembered that back in the Gilas 1 days a lot of PBA teams were crippled because so many of the top players were on NT duties. PBA-only fans stopped watching the games because their favorite players were not on their favorite teams. Then some folks were like Mark Caguioa (IIRC) didn't deserve to win MVP because a lot of the best players were not playing in the league due to NT duties.
Then I thought, could it be that the PBA didn't want something like that to happen again? However, they hoarded the best players from the NT since we failed to qualify for the 2016 Olympics, and yet nobody was still watching the games even before the pandemic unless Ginebra or any SMC team was playing.
Why is the PBA like this? They freely lent players to the NT and nobody was watching the games unless their favorite players are playing. Now they hoarded players from the NT and yet nobody still watches the games unless Ginebra is playing. Is the PBA really left behind in the stone age?Originally posted by gideonNot sure why all on here got salty when the Serbian coach said Gilas lacked any real quality. I mean isn't that glaringly obvious.

This is why if the NBL could be convince if they do take some of the boys that they will be released if called and that the NBL would be rewarded thru a partnership sponsor.
