  • The Ambohot guy from Letran could be another Baltazar. At the very least a mobile 4 with enough length. Isn't he supposed to be part of the Gilas pool?

In the same sense that the illusion that a Pinoy coach would be good enough for Gilas in competing in FIBA tournaments is absolutely a fallacy & stupidity. Fuck with that policy & principle by BCAP which it is against foreign coaches handling the National team. Fuck with SBP for replacing coach Tab just when everything was on the right direction!!

            So what now people?

Lady luck just punished us for our stupidity & better that way!! Philippine basketball deserves this embarrassment in the SEA Games. We need this kind of humiliation to get better. But to get better, we need to admit our faults, our stupidity, our stubborness, our pride na wala sa lugar (as in the case of those members of BCAP).

While I feel sorry for our Gilas players & my fellow Pinoy fans for the loss yesterday vs. Indonesia, in all honestly, I wanted Gilas to lose yesterday para matauhan yung mga taong dapat matauhan!!!

Damn BCAP, damn SBP, damn PBA!!!

The best players from the PBA are not necessarily the best for international play. Better look elsewhere.

That's why I'm thanking God that the PBA is in conflict with the Asia Cup and every WC qualifying window. More exposure to collegiate and B.League players. Face it, we have more players fit for international play OUTSIDE the PBA.

Oh Lady Luck, please give us more humiliating loses with Chot Reyes handling Gilas!!!!!!

Maybe a humiliation of unprecedented proportion is what we need to wake up SBP, BCAP & PBA.

So to Lady Luck, more embarrassing loses pa please!!!!

if pba insists their players again in fiba asia cup with chot coaching, expect new zealand and lebanon to beat us black-and-blue.

                        • Frankly, the only players I'd take from the PBA for the pool are Kiefer, Oftana, Perez, Bolick, and even Japeth and June Mar. Apart from the Gilas draftees (Javi, Mamu, Shaun, Arana), the rest should come from elsewhere.

PBA players are no longer the best prospects for the Phi National team becoz of PBA's incompetence.

my stance has not changed. why would you get someone from PBA if they can only be lent 2 weeks before a tournament? availability is the best ability. CCR used TNT for familiarity, that did not show when pressure was on the team. so you need more than 2 weeks, regardless who your players are unless they already have chemistry which will only made while playing together over extended period of tournaments.
no nothing against the skills of PBA players, pero before we even think about the Xs and Os, the team (coaches and players) need to commit in showing up.

Oh yeah! Makakabawi naman tayo sa next SEA Games, I'm very confident of that.

But we will most likely shit in this year's Asia Cup & next year's FIBA World Cup with Choke Reyes handling Gilas.
