He didnt say otherwise despite multiple chances to.
We were already in a good direction, e. Good execution, teamwork, and development for the FIBA game, and maybe for overseas leagues. Oh, man. Nice job with the change of direction.

Might see Ayo/Gold be the HC for gilas.
In an ideal world, it should be C2G or Alaska as head of the SBP.
Hope he has a similar vision to Tab when it comes to player development.
Perasol could be useful as a recruiter too.

next sea games ph should send a very competitive team. the indonesians defeated ph with bolden not yet 100% and minus their africans. if they dont learn from this then prepare to take silver or even bronze next sea games. theres already a template how to beat ph.The message you have entered is too short. Things that I didn't like:
1. He didn't give enough emphasis on defense like Tab. This starts from the player selection and rotation. Pogoy was useless out there and also Kib. Chot says those guys were only backups. But are those really the only backups? Also, he was talking about mobile bigs. Why was Erram not there? He could have been more useful defensively than Go. I get that Go is for helping with Tabs system. But Tabs system calls for long quick interchangeable perimeter defenders. Without those guys, Go is practically useless in must-win games like this. If he was worried there was a lack in mobile big he should have chosen Erram.
But I don't think that's enough. JMF was the core of this team. His offense and the gravity it generates. Basically it's not something you can transfer to any other team without a dominant big like JMF. But I guess his hand was tied. So at least everybody can accept that unless Junemar's defense improves more that a national team centered around him won't work. It's too late because if Tab was didn't replaced after the OQT that lean June Mar could have been an anchor of an international team. That lean Junemar would not have broken his leg. In any case, it proves that the PBA's best center now can't carry the national team and by extension the PBA.
I hope this gives Chot the push to really follow Tabs system. Defensive oriented with quick international sized players. He will have those available in the next tournaments. I hope he realizes there's no other choice but Tab's way.

Just put Coach chot as director as respect to him. And bring back coach tab or promote Nenad especially this coming Fiba asia cup which is more important than SEA games. MVP must become humble to decide to replace his favorite son coach chot.sigpic

Sad but true.Originally posted by thatweirdguy View PostHow is it the us ordinary forumers indentified those problems easily while SBP and co are still left scratching their bald heads after every embarrassing loses like this. We knew Indonesia is going to be a problem for a while now. Remember when people where laughing at them for their supposedly internal conflicts? Where was the scouting? The preparation? Heck we were so confident we sent Montalbo. We knew we were playing bad the entire tournament even though we were blowing out patsies. Where were the adjustments?
Let's just give up now. This program is going nowhere
