Coach Tab needs a break? He hasn't coach Gilas in any tournament since July 2020. He just came from US and only went back in December or January. Seems illogical if he wants some break.

FIBA 2020 2nd window vs thailand, 2021 OQT, FIBA asia cup qualifiers 2021, king abdullah cup.. yep he needs a break for awhile..

Sorry didnt get the clue. I also thought well of RG. Tsk tsk what were they thinking. Tab achieved a lot with the players he had. The recent window and the SEA games arent exactly must wins. And as if you need a lot of prep to defeat the SEA teams. If anything it should have been an opportunity to see what Nenad can do. Tab has always said he is open for somebody else better to coach and he will just be program director.

maybe he was still in grief when he requested for a coaching break from SBP, we all have different coping mechanisms

He's not insensitive...probably a Tab/Ateneo hater and a PBA lover

so what's the problem ? what is the reason and driver for removing Tab permanently not only as head coach but involvement with the Gilas program?

If I remember it was Mark Dickel who was the headcoach in 2020, and Jong got the coaching job at the next qualifiers. Tab was basically hands off the whole year with only a couple of inputs in game here and there. It's crazy to think they have a huge problem of Tab skipping coaching of one Window NOW. Especially with us being qualified already

I am asking for logic, if he needs a break which I understand then why coach Ateneo in the same time frame. So he priorities is to coach Ateneo not Gilas. But why? I understand if he beg off for both but why chose one over the other.

Coach Tab wasn't expected to coach games for Ateneo in February , or even required to run practice , ( he could rest) , which is what he was asking a break from basketball ...for Feb . both for Ateneo and Gilas.
