1. Focus on defense. That's how we beat SoKor.

2. Don't change the offensive system that Tab had (na may dribble-drive elements, pero kayang mag-counter sa sona via ball movement). The assistants should teach Chot, not Chot forcing his system.

3. No 6'1"-6'3" players at the 3, unless si Thirdy, tapos ganun din ang size ng opposing 3. Otherwise, general rule should be Navarro, Oftana, Dwight, Baltazar, Tamayo at 3. Hindi small-ball ang 3-guard lineups.

4. Continue developing the kids for the WC windows. PBA players should be there only for the FIBA Asia Cup and the WC proper.

5. Prepare at least two months before the FIBA Asia Cup and the WC."

I really hope Chot follows my suggestions, kahit malabo.

Why not a foreign coach or at least Coach Uuchico who is already familiar with swing system of Coach tab? Coach Chot just wants to get the fruits of Coach tab and the talent especially with Kai sotto. I know its just basketball and there are allot of things that matter in life, but it is still frustrating and sad for fans that we lose Coach tab who achieve so much for the team.

We were on a good path already. We were winning games while developing our young guys with potential. Now here comes everyone's favorite drama queen to ruin everything

They could always do it like what they did in the Bahrain bubble: Jong as the “Head Coach” but Tab doing the actual coaching.

That's just a poorly contsructed alibi so they can point all the outrage at him. I won't be surprised he quits after that season. This is BS. All those visions, development and preparations gone.

It just doesn't make any sense. Politics, like always, is biting our asses. Logically, I don't think MVP would trade the UAAP for Gilas. He invested way too much for a sudden shift in plans. Like I said, there is something more to it. I hope we get a clearer picture in the coming weeks.

Coach Chot's System is Dribble Drive

And it is universally known what kind of offense that is.

It is a pace and space Your Turn, My Turn Play.

If you get the ball, you need to make a quick decision. Either shoot, drive, or pass.

Usually guards penetrate and kick out to shooters, or drop pass inside.

Oh, no. It's not just the "midget ball" (which is essentially a lineup of 3 PG-sized guards). What will happen to the emphasis on defense, and feeding the bigs?

I do hope Chot can stay away from those 3-guard lineups, for the love of God.

The only positive I can think of Coach Chot right now is he is a fan of Kai. So maybe he can use Kai as a modern big (or maybe ala baltche when Kai is in his prime). Other bigs like AJ, I hope they get involve in offense. Not only abangers

But the Wings will be a question mark. Will he continue to develop Balti and Tamayo as Wings?

Exactly. Although, eto, a. Chot's TNT did show signs of good rotations similar to Tab. Cutting off the lane, closing out on shooters. I hope he translates that to Gilas. He probably learned.

I wasn’t planning to be back in IBN until the qualifiers. I just needed to share my grievances, but WTF is this shit? It may be premature, but all of the games that were played, the foundation that was built, and the culture that was created are all fucking gone. Only hope is that Chot will have some sort of continuity with Tab’s program, but let’s be real, we are going to go back to midget ball more or less. I don’t buy that Tab is focusing more on Ateneo BS; there must be something more than that! FUCK!

I hope this isn't goodbye to Carl Tamayo and Justine Baltazar developing as our 3 knowing Coach Chot's incessant love for ultra small ball.

Ano ba meron tong si chot lagi nakakabalik? May pang blackmail ba? NAK NG PUSA magtitiis nanaman ako sa kadramahan nito chot is a good coach but internationally hindi niya tayo madadala next level.. kung hindi si tab dapat foriegn coach!

I can only speculate, but I feel like Chot was brought back to be a "unifying" coach for the PBA and the SBP.
