Guy was a nominee for the mcdonald's all american game for a reason, averaged 30ppg in High School. He was a standout on the youth team too. Had D1 offers. I don't know why he was not utilized to the fullest by coach Tab even though he was the one who brought him and was called a blue-chip recruit.

I think Gamber is a bust. All those accolades happened elsewhere and not here in the Philippines. He’s a tall guard with exceptional handles. But he’s not yet able to progress those skills in the rugged and physical pinoy play.
It's why I included them in the shooter's category with Bautista.
Btw, do you know if Ajanti is eligible?

Both of them are still young too—20 years old—and have already spent (or will going to spend this year) 3 years in college. They might finish their college eligibility by 22. Starting early in the pros allows for maximum development, provided the opportunity (playing time) is given to its fullest.

I think most coaches already know this and is the reason why Filam guards taken are usually "veterans." However, when there's a guy like Bayla or Gamber, you take your chances and take them in as a type of a project because upside potential is high.

Lopez is a good prospect, provided he learns to move properly during his drives. He only goes straight as of this moment, no shifty-ness. Improve his mobility, dribbling, and FREE THROWS and he would be a great prospect as our small forward.sigpic

Lebanon's superstar stretch-big 6-foot-7/6-foot-8 Ali Haidar sometimes plays center for his team when their naturalized player playing center goes to the bench. I just hope Mike Philipps develops a reliable medium range jumper (15 to 18 feet) to expand his offensive game."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Agree with this. If we compare Lopez to a Zave Lucero, we can see that the latter has better body control & shiftiness especially on drives. Lopez' body seems stiff when driving to the lane. This despite Lopez being more athletic than Lucero.

If we are talking about basketball skills between a 21-year old Kobe Paras (which is Lopez' current age) compared to Lopez' current skills, I think in terms of offense, Kobe Paras is better, but defensively, I think Lopez is better."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game.
