The only way we’re winning against Australia later is if we hit our 3s like it’s everyone’s birthday, and Australia to do the opposite. Otherwise, finish na. Just too many advantages going for Australia, in practically all facets of the game. So yeah, luck it is.

I mean batang gilas beating australia.
Will the credit go to coach josh?
Or, to our bg players.
I believe it will still credit to the players. Haha.
But that is very unlikely to happen.
Sayang yung japan. I believe it is a winnable game

But believe me, our chance of beating Australia is close to zero."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

The main reason why Gilas is wary of the Boomers is because of their 7-foot-1 stud Rocco Zikarski.
Zikarski, 15, is the brightest prospect in Australia today. In the competition, he is averaging 14.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in three games played.
Definitely, Zikarski is unstoppable. It’s the reason why Gilas’ Zain Mahmood is toughening up heading into the contest.
“He is very skilled and obviously very tall but I believe if we contain him we can beat Australia,” said the 6-foot-6 Fil-Canadian, who is averaging 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in the tournament. “In terms of pre-game prep we are going to be game-planning and studying film on them so we can see how we can best go about taking down this powerhouse.”
During their build-up for the 2022 FIBA Under-16 Asian Championships, Gilas Boys’ Under-16 team head coach Josh Reyes hoped for one thing — the Philippines to sweep Group C to avoid a quarterfinals clash against Australia. However, a 72-67 loss to Japan last Tuesday spoiled all of their plans. And on Friday at 6:30PM, Gilas […]

Good to see Konov having some ability to create his shot off the dribble. He has displayed the ability to hit pull-up jumpers from mid-range off the dribble."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game.
