Dribble drive works if you have 3 main things:

1. Excellent Penetrators

2. Accurate and Consistent Knockdown Shooters.

3. Good Motor Big

if you have Smart, Tatum, Brown, Al Horford and Timelord, DDO will work.

Miracles do happen, but GOD give miracles in favor to those who deserve it. How can GOD give us miracle when we put an underserving head coach to our youth national team?

The thing about the Aussies is that they have the much better players & the much better coach. Kahit magkaroon man tayo ng kunting laman sa puso, that can easily be overwhelmed by the Aussies superiority in player talent & coach' system.

I say, we will be lucky if we'll lose to Australia by "only" 25 pts.

Losing by 25 is already respectable. But I hope the kids won't be traumatized and at show sportsmanship.The last time a Reyes coached again an Australian team half the team including coaches got suspended..

As I said it only worked because Blatche could drive, as well as Castro. Look at how bad we looked against Oz. Castro was neutralized by the physical defense. While Blatche was not in his prime anymore.

And whats the point of teaching it in u16. As others have said it teaches PGs to over dribble and everyone else to hang out in the perimeter. When the kids stopped doing DDO they became effective. And nothing came out of Joshs two last timeouts. The first one was saved by a Konov putback the other wala. DDO or the Reyes DDO just sucks at this age group and probably with our personnel in the seniors.

If you're a pure shooter or a good off-ball player and your new team's basketball system is DDO then you'll become a Kobe wannabe( Matt Wright) and your game performance for sure will be atrocious..

The Japan team played simple basketball. Only one player beat us. A proper coach with this lineup would have beaten Japan by more than 10pts. Unfortunately, we have the sperm output of Choke.

The reason is the idiotic defense of Joke Reyes. Tab's great defense, anchored by good boxing out behavior, gives our players a good chance to get the rebound.

Another template we could use in developing tall players. If we see a tall player with enough mobility, better train him to be a forward than a big.

I say the slashing/penetrating guards & wings of the Dominican Republic are bigger/taller & more athletic. Victor Liz for instance is a legit 6-foot-4 athletic shooting guard. Point guard Michael Cuevas is 6-foot-2, while Gelvis Solano is 6-1.

Castro is what, 5-foot-10? Tenerio is what, 5-foot-8?
