Technically yeah. Though I dont think Japan have size bigger than us. They have Watanabe 6'8, two 6'6. And others I think are 6'3 below
I'm not concerned with Watanabe, tbh. Kid's pretty raw and slow.

    • LORENZO Bryan Competente, a 14-year-old standout who emerged as the MVP of last year’s Palarong Pambansa, has no plans of slowing down.

To fast-track his improvement, the 6-foot guard had decided to go to the United States to train and temporarily live there to compete against some of the best players out there. He wants to make sure he’ll be returning to the Philippines a better, smarter, more equipped player and takes a shot of achieving his dream – representing the national team in international competitions.

For 16 yrs old Kids. It is just normal that they are not that accurate from 3???
And more comfortable Driving and Slashing?

Yun kasi observation ko based on clips.

Literally only Konov is Pure Shooter. Others struggle to shoot threes, actually even midrange.

Maybe their pulse (pulso) are not that yet strong. Or maybe they are just not used to it.

They can make some shots naman but not consistent. (Outside of Konov)

Anyway, I think and hope they will compensate it with their skills and athleticism
This is from Fil-am Nation Select's interview with the Fil-am guys Bayla, Konov, Jones and Mahmood:

Nonverbatim: "One big adjustment for me is on how the 3 point line is farther from the basket than what we are used to in the US."

Maybe this is one reason why some struggle at first.

I think he is the most scrappy and have the most hustle among the kods daw.

Maybe, they want an energy guy

Maybe, I hope so too. Still, I'm pretty confident with our kids.

Is Nieto’s father coming as team doctor? That might be our answer

The team lacks ceiling , their answer is stacked up the guards lol

They are almost same size as Japan.

The answer they are doing I think is they will play 5 Out Center less Basketball.

No Choice, wala naman tayo nahanap na 6'10+ which is eligible for U16.

                            • PHL guard play will always be there. But the frontline of

                              AK
                              Harris
                              Zain

is intriguing to say the least. I hope it can approximate the the Kai-Aj-Carl the PHL had 3-4 years ago

                                6'10 and already skilled.

We simply don't have the grassroots program to develop 6'9+ players at the U16 level.

Even Kai at that age group was still very raw. I remember watching the U17 team's game against France. They were simply outclassed. Really shows the disparity in training programs across continents.
