I'm also rooting for Ron Harper Jr. to be our naturalized player, he is a combo forward and could be the big forward in small-ball style of play and a small forward in a tall ball style of play. As for Mike Phillips, he could be Gilas Pilipinas' Dennis Rodman..

I really hope this Konov Kid will pan out.

he is like what 6'6 or 6'7 at 16 yrs old who seems to be a sharp shooter.

Hopefully, he will be more than just a new version of Hrabak.

Want to see Gemao in official game first before I will judge him.

Amen to that, people don't realize this is Gilas weakness when our opposition scout and look at our lineup. It's not an exaggeration that if the 2 get to play for Gilas and Kai and Tamayo develop as sold FIBA centers and PFs as they should we elevate our level to a competitive 2nd tier world team. I'm really serious.
Why wouldn't we in Kai as center and Harper Jr as small ball PF, we litterarally have 2 NBA level players at 5 and 4 who can play tomorrow over 30 minutes.
The drop of when Philips and Tamayo sub for like 10 to 15 min isn't too bad.

Here is another thing people have to realize with having a Harper Jr. It allows us to use both Tamayo and Baltazar together with Harper Jr without losing speed in defense or size. Harper Jr has guard skills yet has 7'1 wing span and weighs 230 lbs (Understand what this means). It doesn't matter if the length from his neck to top of head is short LOL , it's effective height and size

We hear constantly about a player’s height and sometimes about his wingspan, but how many of you can actually do the mental math when you are told a player is 6-foot-8 with a 6-foot-11 wingspan? Does that mean he has the reach of a T-Rex?

Standing reach matters, big time. The longer a player’s reach the more able he is to tip passes, secure rebounds, block shots, and get a hand in a shooter’s face. Traditional height is helpful for context (we can all picture what 6-foot-4 looks like), but it can also be deceiving. Players of the same height can have vastly different standing reaches.

What’s so helpful for us as fans knowing a player’s standing reach is we all understand the rim is 10 feet high, so when a player has a nine foot standing reach we immediately have context.

FC: Kai, AJ
PF: Tamayo, Baltazar, (Philipps if exempted)
SF/PF: Ron Harper Jr.

Is that enough? Or 1 more Frontline?

Maybe thats enough. And then just put some Swings (SG/SF) like Dwight, Parks, and Perez (or Thirdy)

Good question, i think 7ftrs still own FIBA competition just look at Pau Gasol at his 40's on his last stint wih Spain National Team, still dominated the tournament and won if I am not mistaken.

In FIBA basketball, defensive players are not penalized for standing in the paint for more than 3 seconds. Thus, even lumbering bigs like Bol will have a field day swatting the ball.
But in the NBA, a defensive player cannot stay for three consecutive seconds inside the paint if he’s not guarding an offensive player. The rule is more hospitable to agile, undersized centers like Draymond and Williams III.

How was Draymond's FIBA career? Was he effective?

His more recent stint was better but the slightly bigger and stronger Bam started. Bam is a decent post defender though. The better post players however are not good PNR defenders so the best big, Gobert, was not much of a post threat. So even internationally, post up bigs are becoming extinct. The difference though, internationally the NBA small guards are not effective. Superstars like Dame were not effective. Meanwhile defensive guards who can defend bigger players, like the Bucks PG were more effective.
