CMIIW but with a 72-64 win against South Korea, Lebanon made the U17 WC and the Semi-Finals of FIBA Asia U16 for the first time ever.
South Korea has been eliminated in the QFs for the second straight U16 tournament after winning it all in 2015.
That means Batang Gilas will meet SoKor in FIBA Asia U16 for the first time since 2015. Ang walang kamatayang Koreanovela ng Pilipinas, bow.Originally posted by gideonNot sure why all on here got salty when the Serbian coach said Gilas lacked any real quality. I mean isn't that glaringly obvious.

Korea, Iran and the surprising India still on the way of the PHL for the less-coveted 5th place.
Unless one of the top 4 teams withdraw, that is, in which case the 5th place becomes more important.Originally posted by gideonNot sure why all on here got salty when the Serbian coach said Gilas lacked any real quality. I mean isn't that glaringly obvious.

A lot of the Phil foreigners like Competente , Bayla and Konov showing length at the perimeter
Good upside for Gilas seniors
I think it's really rare and not convenient for a 6 '3 to 6'6 to play wing perimeter in the Philippine high environment
Question who is better as a 17 year old Lopez or Harris ?Last edited by DAdmiral; 06-17-2022, 11:32 PM.

Harris is man among boys. Lopez is a boy amongst men, in the most literal sense

Competente is homegrown. And plays here and was palarong pambansa MVP. Then went to US to train for last 2 years to improve himself for him to be in Batang Gilas.
Bayla is Full Filipino, he just grew up in US. So, he is a Foreign Based Full Filipino. Literally like Dalph Panopio.
As for Fil Foreigns talaga. Konov, Zain, Caelum have shown flashes of greatness. But obviously, they have aspects in their game which needs polishing.
Hmmm. Hard Question. Its close. Maybe Caelum by a bit. I just think Caelum can impact the floor and game when he is off night in scoring.
