Zikarsky and Kai's skillset is worlds apart. He was just early maturing and stronger than Kai at the same age. He doesnt have a midrange or anything useful. He only relies on his height and undergoal stabs. That is the problem with those who were turncoats.haha too easy to praise foreigners and yet those compared to Kai were too far behind.haha

how's raven cortez doing these days? pre-injury he was batang gilas' best defender. he was legit 6'7" at 16 yrs old so he could've grown a bit since then. hope he didn't regress like carino. i always thought tamayo & cortez are gonna be our modern-day & taller versions of RDO & pingris.

This reminded me of how Carino used to lord inside the paint vs Korea when he played in Asia U18. Although his team was also the one that got torched by Justin Bassey and lost to Thailand. Hopefully Cortez can continue developing to be much more effective when he gets to the seniors.

Competente, and even Bayla are not Fil Foreigns.

Competente is homegrown. And plays here and was palarong pambansa MVP. Then went to US to train for last 2 years to improve himself for him to be in Batang Gilas.

Bayla is Full Filipino, he just grew up in US. So, he is a Foreign Based Full Filipino. Literally like Dalph Panopio.

As for Fil Foreigns talaga. Konov, Zain, Caelum have shown flashes of greatness. But obviously, they have aspects in their game which needs polishing.

Hmmm. Hard Question. Its close. Maybe Caelum by a bit. I just think Caelum can impact the floor and game when he is off night in scoring.
