The replacement is an undersized power forward who will likely place center for them

I was one of them. Context being the Filipino team was getting then-UAAP players like Baclao, Mirza, and Espiritu before going through all the bs of the then-PBL as well as familiar imports like Gabe Freeman. No different from Kiefer or Parks teaming up with Brownlee playing teams that had Pringle, Wright, or C-Stan. There wasn’t an “exodus” of players, it was a glorified MPBL-level club with a handful of college stars, PBA free agents, and foreign players. The problem was all those guys treating it as a stepping stone to the PBA. At least Kiefer and Parks would eventually play in Japan, but majority of the players had no star appeal because every other team was built around their imports and it made it unwatchable if teams didn’t have local stars. Mario Wusyang was old af, Loh Shee Fai was limited to catch and shoot, then you had young players like Delvin Goh whose games never developed because they were playing behind imports.

        • Ayun, MERALCO did well this time with 2 imports, kept in step with New Taipei. Sayang, talo, but at least there's progress.

Lofton was a spitfire, too bad Braimoh can't play, I think he can be the better pair than Ibeh.

well, EASL is being groomed to be the East Asia's counterpart of Euroleague.
                Attack

They miss the CBA, they probabaly want T1 there even if their brand of ball is just give the ball to their ex-NBA player and watch, maybe Mongolia needs foreign players to be considered... but for now, EASL is asking if the B.League champs are better than the KBL champs.

I'm actually waiting when the tickets for their game vs Merlaco come out just incase I can have my Linsanity paperback book signed. It will be weird to watch a packed Ultra seeing a number of Jeremy Lin fans who might outnumber Meralco employees and the players' family members.

Politics still ruined the development of sports... Obviously CBA didn't join because of Taiwan involvement... CBA will be a big help for the popularity of EASL... There are more than 400 million CBA fans out there... More than the combined population of Korea, Philippines, Japan and Taiwan...

                          • So, TNT are 0-4, out of the knockouts.

Man, they aren't really good in the Asian context.

Taiwan and CBA teams compete before in EASL. CBA allows Taiwan to be loval players in CBA. Some of Taiwan NT players played in CBA.

Because in early years of EASL, it was treated as pre season event…
